I need PC Grow box help

Haha, Yeah, I assumed you intended to use LED or CFL in said PC box. Sorry about that. HID lights are to be taken seriously, they get vey hot and generally have a seperate ballast. I have a makeshift grow going in a dresser with cfl. Research is the key. This winter is my first grow in 6-7 years. Things have changed, there is new technology and new understanding of botany. I can tell you first hand that understanding how artificial light works and how the plant processes the elements will make shopping for / building your grow space a lot easier.

Ya i joined back in like 2007 haha. and when i was here the thing to do was "pc grow box". but it seems the new thing to do is cabinets hahah. ;like every website i see talks about cabinets and just new ideas liek fridges etc. Pretty cool the way things are transforming. I think i will do cfl for a while in the pc tower. Unfortunelty i have a problem with wanting to grow sometghing lol. Idc about smoking it as much as i love the process. Call it a disease? idk maybe im crazy hhaa

what did you get from Nirvana? If you're working with a small space I would suggest taking a look at some quality auto strains. They've come leaps and bounds since the original lowryder.

I semi fogot the name. I think it was Short-rider (NOT lowrider). I think its like a hybrid of lowrider and something short. I made sure to buy a Low hieght plant. MY pc case is gonna be like 20 or 21 " tall so hopefully i can figure out a way to get 1-2 babies going on. I was thinking of using badseed first. Just to test out everything. make sure the cfls will be enough and have trials with the new set up. order control will be an issue im sure but ill figure it out!

ona gel works well for odor, that's what I'm using. Your dimensions seem right for two autos. In the way of stellar strains I've grown and loved you can't go wrong with ...

MI-5 - Short Stuff
Smurfberry - Sagmantha seeds

If grown well any of these can yield over an oz and the smoke will rival a photoperiod plant. Best of luck man.

1) i read about ona gel. How do i apply this? like brush on my babies? or like put in the open?
2) U said they can grow a oz. is that in small quarters like i got ?
3) the autoflowering , y doesnt everybody do this and skip the veg. cycle? do u like it more

no auto will ever be as good as the best photoperiod pot because of the cross breeding w/ rudelaris (sp?) a strain of very low thc content cannabis but one that has a short life span and flowers under any light cycle. This is why the first gen autos kinda got a bad rap, they weren't up to snuff.

Ten years later, they're much much better. Some auto nuggets I've grown attached. If grown out of a pc box in say a cabinet or closet you can get well over an oz if you get a lucky phenotype. That being said sometimes the coin flips the other way and you get a half oz plant. I grew four on my last grow, the largest gave somewhere in the low 60g area, the smallest about 15g. Same lighting, same nutes, ect. you just can't really control for it. Not super viable for big commercial grower but very perfect for Joe Q. Hobbygrower.

The shorter lifespan also makes for less odor during flowering. Autos are getting pretty big with the small crop crowd and even with outdoor growers who want to get in two crops a season.

I used to grow photos and now only grow autos.

I just spread the gel around my door well, windows, and exhaust that leads air back to re-circulate in my house. I also put a dryer sheet on the exhaust. Scented candles left to sit on candle warmers (5 bucks at a home goods store) will also do an excellent job of masking a couple autos.

in terms of pot size it can be done with a 2 gallon pot but you'll sacrifice max yield. I'm currently using 5 gal smart pots. Hydro may be best for a small pc cab unless you're looking to expand your area to a wardrobe or closet.
