I need HELP!

So my plants our outside but under a greenhouse plastic top with no sides(trying to be legal) in 150 gallon smart pots. I did a ratio of 1 part potting soil 3 parts compost. My plants are now stunted and flowering. All the leaves are dying and i have these tiny frosty buds. Why are they flowering so early? Why are they dying but flowering? I have a mister system to cool it down because they are under a greenhouse plastic. I plan on taking it off to see if I can get better air flow for now. I use a small boy filter system for the water. I feed with vermitea and filtered water. The PH is a little high after filtration so I plan on adjusting that from now on.

All I can come up with is the compost was to hot or not composted all the way and is killing the roots.
Please Help Me if its not to late!! I can also post pictures if that will help anyone. I live in San diego County.

Your soil ratio is too high in compost. I don't know where you are located, but where I'm at plants have started the flowering cycle and will be finished in late September/early October.

Next season if you can, start plants indoors in may. Veg until the first week in July then put em out. They will start flowering a few weeks after you put em out and should double in size. Do a little research on soil mixes or think about fox farm soil as a no brainer soil with great results.

have a trick for you ,get a 1 quart mason jar ,add 2 cups water and 1 tbsp of calgon soap 1 cup of your soil mix, shake the hell out of it and let it sit 24hrs, what this does is seperate all to equal levels . you should , to have a perfect mix equal layers ,sand goes to bottom, then silt which is your soil and then compost on top.you will have no problem seeing the difference.also the 321 method which is 3 parts compost 2 parts soil 1 part aireation perlite, vermiculite, coco just one or all to come up with the 1 part.hope this helps friend

That's a huge help, thanks. I think my medium ratio is way off, now I know the 321 method though. I was explaining my situation to the guy at the grow store and he thinks they need some cal-mag, folier fed to them because the medium might be to "Hot". Does that seem like a possibility as well?

would the lights from the house force the plants into flower? Could I interrupt there flower by interrupting there dark period with a white light. Im still confused why they would be shocked into flower.
