I need help with setting my first grow room up.

Okay, I'm going to start a grow room with the following measurments:

Main Area:
Length - 5.2Ft
Width - 2.6Ft
Depth - 1.8Ft

I intend to use this area for the majority of the growing, plants will be put in this area after they start to grow from the seedlings.

'Seedling Area' :
Length - 1.2Ft
Width - 2.6Ft
Depth - 1.8Ft

This smaller area will be lit by a flurescent light to encourage the seeds to grow.

I'll include pictures of the area at the end of this topic, What I need to know is if the area is big enough, how many plants will I beable to grow in it, and if it won't get to hot.

I'm looking for advice on strain of seed, so far i'm thinking of going for 'chrystal feminised' which are a hybrid of White Widow and Northen lights. Let me know if this is a good choice or not for the first time grower.

I'd also like advice on soil, I'd like to keep this a soil mixture, and not hydroponics etc, though I have no trouble with putting chemicals, pesticides etc to give me a good crop of plants.
Suggestions and brand of soil available in the UK would be great, Even better if available at a store such as B&Q, if not, I'd like to know exactly what to ask for at the garden centre to make sure I get the right stuff.

Nutrients, what will I need? Names of popular brands, or something specific I can ask the nice people at the garden centre for.

Ventilation, my main concern, this will be grown in a small area, with little airflow, I have a window about 2.5 meters away, and i'm not sure if I'll need some sort of pipe leading to it or not?

Think I've missed something out? Feel free to leave a post telling me what, and any advice you have for me.

that area is pretty small my area is 3 ft by 1.75 ft by 7 ft tall and i grew 4 in there and it was way too tight i wouldnt grow more than two in that cabinet i would fo sure go with a indica dominet strain so it doesnt get too tall i use fox farms ocean forest works great!!! its so good you dont need any nutes until week 3 or 4 and also i use fox farms nutes grow big big bloom and tiger bloom they are great aswell you can get it on ebay if they dont have it where you live they even give you a feeding chart that is for mj

Do you know of any soil that can be found over here in the UK? As I'm aware Fox Farms is solely US unfortunetly, and one of my biggest problems right now is what soil to use. I should be painting the 'grow room' tomorrow, so i'll post some updated pic's tomorrow night for anyone interested.
