Hello! this is my first DWC grow and im still kinda learning.... ive invested quite a bit of cash and time learning and buying the best equipment possible so my babies do not need anything but im having some problems....

i have 4 14 day old seedlings all different strains.. 2 indica dominant and 2 sativa dominant.... i just wanted to learn the different grow patterns of both!

anyway the indica dominant ones: Blue Widow and Critical + both from DinaFem are looking beautiful! lush green short nodes they have about 4 long bright white roots each probably almost 10" long!...

the saliva dominant ones are a different story.... Liberty Haze from barneys and Super Lemon Haze from Greenhouse are proving to be a real problem..

Liberty haze has brown spots that are starting to propagate... the SLH has spotting too but they seem like yellowish brown.. and the serrations on the new leafs seem too extreme... thats not all, both of them barely have 1" roots coming out of the pots while their indica sisters have roots like 9" longer already!!!!!...

PH: 5.9
PPM: 270-300 @ 500 conversion
REZ TEMP: 62-64F
OUTSIDE TEMP: 72.7F
HUMIDITY: 50%
LIGHT: 400W MH 24/7 2.5 feet away
WATER: RO Water @ 0PPM

i dont know whats wrong with my Haze girls please HELP ME!!!

I had the same problem with my barneys farm tangerine dream. Same conditions as a different strain (nutes tailored for its liking) and still spotts up no matter what you do. Same with their Acapulco Gold.
However my colombian gold (popped the same time) is my strongest strain and most sought after of my patients.

everything in your environment sounds top notch. Might just be time to chalk it up to bad genetics/or just a bad bean and toss it. Id say kill off your two sativas and keep the indica's. They grow 100% differently, which is interesting to watch yes. but once you get deep into flower unless you have lights for your indicas and a different set for your sativas one of the two is going to suffer if they are under the same set of lights. I did 3/4 sativas my first grow and my White widow indica didnt give me anything becausei t was too far from the lights.

thanks for the help man!

but i bought the Liberty an SLH cuz they were supposed to be GOOD GENETICS lol i guess thats what happens when you buy from overrated breeders... DinaFem ROCKS!

i guess if it has to come down to killing them off id rather be patient and just let them grow since i have the space and equipment.. they will go on a SCROG so the height will be managed, and ill just force them to grow in an envirnment thats better suited for indicas...

why do you say i need different lights for both? ill veg them under MH 400 watts for seedling and bump the other reflector on toget 800W when fully vegetating.. then switch to 1000Watts of HPS light. is that not good for both kinds?

i appreciate the help :)

I have had 5 or more beans from GH on Super Lemon Haze all have been real strong growing plants and producers. Take a bit to get them to harvest as far as time, but its worth it.

I have never had issue with GH seeds, but I see some growers cry about them. I did have horrible time with ANY barneys farm seeds, just like the other poster my TD was a bitch to keep happy. I have never bought another BF seed again.

Ditto on going with the indicas or the sativas -- they have different growth rates. Your indicas will be ready to flower and your sativas might be a few weeks away. I guess you could always keep the indicas vegging until the sativas catch up, but then you're going to have light/heat issues as the sativas will probably be a lot taller than the indicas. That means they'll be burning close to the light while the indicas won't be getting enough light.

Or maybe try to keep the sativas vegging while you veg and flower the indicas...you'd need a second space for that, though.

Good luck!
