Microsoft Excel or even MS Powerpoint can do both. Pics and text. With Powerpoint you can superimpose text over pics pretty easy too.

Both take a while to get good at, but once you figure it out, you can put out real professional looking stuff. Once again, a manual would be a good idea, college bookstore. I know, I know............

If you can't find a hack for Microsoft Office use the Open Office...it's the EXACT same shit man.
