I need help with lights!

i just finished my "grow room" and i was thinking ill it be better to go with 400W MH and 400W HPS?? or just just 600W HPS?? btw the room size is 6x6. Please help me out and thanks in advance

600w MH/HPS convertable should be good.

Or a 600w HPS and a dual spectrum bulb. HPS are a fair bit more efficient than MH, but traditionally put out more of the blue light that plants need for vegetative growth. Bulbs are available now for HPS that put out both the blue end of the spectrum, and the red end needed for flowering. If your planning on running seperate veg and flower rooms (which you need for any sort of perpetual harvest) then get two HPS, one with a 6500k bulb for vegging, and a 2700k for flower. If thats stretching your budget a little far, cfls are fine for vegging. If you have the space and the ventilation, save up and go HPS.

btw thats gonna be my flowering room, i do have a vegging room and i think im gonna go with CFL's for vegging but i herd for flowering if u mix both MH and HPS u get a better results? is that true?

MH gives blue spec HPS gives red, red is ideal for flower but a mix will give a more natural spectrum like sunlight which may be beneficial... but really there's no need - an HPS will do perfectly fine so u mite as well save ur money dude.

Yeah, 600W HPS for flowering. You'll get 100k lumens from it, a 400W only puts out 60k tops.

id go with the 600 watt hps. 1000 would be too much unless you got a cooling system for it

in a 6 x6 id go with 1 x 1000w super sun hood with 4" flanges. Htgsupply.com has a good deal on a 4" growbright high velocity fan/carbon filter combo for 139. im using that same fan to cool 2 x 1000w lights in supersun hoods in a 6x6 flower & 6x5 veg. i do run MH for veg and HPS for flower.

yeah and then you would wanna take in the consideration of room to move around and work with the plants cant just pack the 6x6 full of plants. so i think a 600 watt will do
