I need help thinking of a setup for a 6000 watt room set up

hello i am getting a room together and need to know what i need for the room to have the perfect environment and optimum everything and i need lots of help with the list of things i need in order to have a successful room/grow thanks.

i have 6 sg lite ballast do you think it is compatible with the super sun 2? i am thinking of those hoods because i have heard they are completely airtight

1 hid lighting depends on the tent size on the number and the watt........one thing to get is a cooltube set up MH/HPS bulbs (make sure it is digital not magntic ballast)
2 a fan with 400 cfm or stronger
3 carbon filter that matches the fans CFMs
4 a tent/room..............this will tell u alot about what u need to get depends on the area u are using
5 a good power strip
6 a set of power timers for the light plugs
7 ratch hangers for the light/lights
8 a varible speed controll for the fan
9 fleixe ducting .............size depends on cool tube
10 hose clamps...........size depends on cooltube
11 duct tape (silver metal kind and regural matted kind)
12 a water bottle with fliud oz measurement on the side
13 a line of nutrients to feed plants
14 a set of 100 1ml pipettes to make up the feed

now the rest depends on varibles as in the temp of the air u are running............have u ever growen any plants before ...are u a fast study..do u have money to spend on dailing it in or do u want the prefect system strait out of the start ............do u have nosey ppl in your life ........are u in a legal state ............and what is the goal of u doing the grow hobby save cash or profit

He is not going to get 6000 watts in a grow tent and one 400 cfm fan is not even going to tickle that grow room!!!!!!!!! 6000 watts is going to require ALLOT of WK to dial that room in. It will take multiple fans just to cool the lights and he will have to exhaust the light run into the atsmophere....its just to much heat. This project will take some design work from the get go! It can be done but get ready to fork out the bucks because to dial a grow room like this is going to take allot of wk and money!!!

that was just a general start list i asked ?s .......and who said it as a 4x4 what about the 10x10x8 tents .......................if he said he is going 6 1000w with cooltubes but does not tell us if it is a 8 or a 6 the most sold on the market is 6 so assuming that is correct then a 6 inch is 400 cfms

i do not know the size of the area or the lay out of the lights or even if they are able to be linked to one anouther or if they only have one vent ducting on the hood


untill he fills in that info i can only tell him what in know that works for me hence the list and it does give him a general idea of what to start to price out

i was thinking of making a 12 x 12 room by using the rule a 4x4 with every 1000 watt and money is no problem i have someone that is willing to fund me everything and i have a couple of outdoor grows under my belt but wondering which nutrients are the most simplest to use and are organic? also i want to know what is the difference between a cooltube and an air cooled hood which i am thinking with going with super suns 2 which are supposedly airtight. also thinking of exhausting the lights through the ground and exhaust it to the side also i dont really know much about electricity but i am thinking of getting six 1000 watts or should i go with ten 600 watts? i am open to any suggestions i heard the yield compared to a 1000 is massive compared to a 600 but if im going that way i am going to have a 18x7x6.5 or going for the six 1000 with the 12 x 12 room thanks

This has got to be a joke honestly. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm all for helping out noobs, but you don't just decide to set up a 6k watt room for your first indoor grow.

My suggestion would be to build your space, and buy 1-2 1k lights. The super suns are ok, I've got my 1k in a great white reflector and it covers a 4x4 tray nicely. I personally would look around at some people journals and try to plan a room similar to the ones you see being success full. Are you wanting to go hydro or soil? This is a great thread that spells out step by step alot about growing, and explains EXACTLY how to build a room that will get you https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponic...eeks.html?highlight=harvest+pound+every+weeks . There are lots of ways to grow, and lots of ways to build a good room. You need to start by READING READING and then READING some more to dig into the information. Then start building once you figure out a plan that will actually work for you. There is grow gear all over craigslist from people that thought they would just "grow some weed" and realized they got in over their heads. If your not paying for this all yourself your investor prolly wouldn't be very happy if you built a 6k watt room then had 1 or more failed grows for any number of reasons.

Best advice so far...this is not a good question at all. How u build a 6000 w room is starting with a 2000 w. You will learn the trials of error. For starters you forgot the energy for pumps, fans, filters, air conditioning, c02 assuming its a hydro air tight which a professional room would be. My advice, start small

i would have to agree, 3 4x4 tents with each 1k lights is gonna be quite hard for a first time indoor grower. i would start with 1 and dial in your environment first. your going with 4x4 tents anyways so why not get 600w? its going to be way easier to manage then 1k... 600w is good for a 4x4 1k for 5x5 etc....

cool tubes is a brand name and a deisgn ..................the part about a cool tube is it can be hung over the plants or it can be vertical hung ...........along with this both ends are open and will allow u to hook ducting to it and keep the air flow over the bulb to a very high rate there by removing most of the heat that the bulb makes before it passes into the tent ( u still get some heat but no where near what u would with out a cool tube

air hoods are made to Hang over the plants and designed to suck the air tho like a cooltube but does not have all the choices

your numbers are 4x4 with a 1000 is at the maximum of the range u will have issuses with light bleaching parts of the leaves ................so u need to keep a eye on the lvls of the plants and keep the lights above that 18 inch-22 inch from the tips of the cola

6 1000 watts in a 12x12 room is way to much even for my over kill loving self ....................look at 4 1000 watt and then add in some T5s on the side walls to get that extra power at a lower watt cost (plus t5s have 5 sets of bulb choices if u pick the 4ft length 3000k 5400k 6500k 10000k 10000k+uva) plus 4 ft bulbs give u off 5000 lumens a bulb

find the center of the foom and move 4.5 feet one way and 4.5 feet the other way and mark it they light rails should hang there ............now move back 4.5 feet and 4.5 feet forward .......on both sides of the rail those last 4 spots u marked the 1000 watts hang ............then u can add the t5s to the walls and your area should have more then enought light coverage ( i told u this becuase when u run the HPS for the flowering u could use a 10000k or 10000k+uva to fill in the light spec for the grow the uva helps premote Resin production to protect the plant from the UVA )

so ok 1000 w hid u need 8 inch cool tubes 4 of them u need 2 8 inch fans .................and like the person saids 12000btu AC unit

when u do this i want the tubes to suck the air out of the room so the AC unit should be on the other side of the room (if u are venting up the right side front of the room the ac needs to be on the leftside back side of the room )............this will cuase the cool air to spread out and cool the whole room before it is converted to hot air and sucked out

oh u know soil then u stick to soil hydro is a unforgiven bitch ........if u want to learn it start with one system (one unit) and work on that and run the rest of it soil so u get money back

order yourself some Air bags/soil bags..............they are great to flush and the roots air prune so they do not circle up and chock self out .......oh u did it outside .......inside for every gallon of soil in the pot the plant has 1 month of growth power in the soil ......so 5 gallon pot has 5 months of power .............so if u are going something that is going to be 7 months a 5 gallon pot is good but u will need to keep feeeding it all during flowering

soil fox farms ocean forest...........shit is great do not mix your own untill u got a place to do it and time to mess up .......that soil will give u good results alls u will have to do is when it gets to flowering stage is add some extra stuff to the water to increase the flowering and smell

as for product lines of feeding organic (general organics GO BOX) .......just type in GO BOX in amazon (has a plan on the box to fallow along with the complete line to test out for under 40 bucks )

This big of a grow requires the an expansive amount knowledge especially electrical power usually resulting in a subpanel or existing upgrade with a minimum of (4) dedicated 20 amp circuits and thats just a small tip of the iceburg!

Very good point. You are not going to run 6k watts without a properly set up electric system. You try to run that in in a regular house without modding the electrical you'll be just asking for trouble.

Don't take me or anyone else wrong. I don't think any of us are saying don't try to get there. Just you gotta work your way up, or have enough knowledge and other experiance to back it up if you want to succeed.

Room building aside, how you decide to grow in this area will have huge impacts on things too. Are you planning on growing several LARGE plants, a bunch of medium plants, or a TON of small plants. I grow a bunch of small plants(around 40 at a time) under my 1k light in a 4x4 tray. I have an ok size clone/veg room next to my flower room, and have another 25-40 plants going in there most of the time to feed my flower room as I harvest. If you're going to fill a 6kwatt room you will either need space to veg some Large plants for a long enough time, or enough space and a setup to veg enough medium or small plants as well.

If you were thinking a ton of small plants and just buying clones, you'd be looking at HUGE amounts of money which I think would be crazy. To fill a room like that you'd need HUNDREDS, emphasis on the "S". Basically I'm saying you need a veg room. It can be smaller then the flower room, but still needs to be big enough to feed it like I said. You can have less watts, and you can use non HID lights in there but still gotta have enough power properly set up to grow stuff.

SOoo maybe if you do tons of reading and really think you know your shit, and have enough other experiance do some floros and a 600 or 2 in veg for the mothers, clones, and vegging plants. Then 2-4 more 600s or 1ks for the flower room. The bigger you go the more cooling you need, and the bigger your fans have to be. My 1k is cooled by a 6 inch fan, and it works OK, not great. 1k lights really should have 8 inch cooling I think.

i wouldn't let someone bank roll me if i never grew inside before, you could put a hit out on 2 ppl for the price of half what your gonna need. "No ty, talk to me in a year or so."

I'd go with 18000 or even 24000btu for AC

2 rows or 3 lights in each I'd choose hoods over cool tube as get better light spread!

1000cfm at least pulling air from outside throu your lights an back outside on each row.

Seal room up good add CO2

Set up cost around £6000

Why everyone going on about if can do it or not isn't there problem to worry about.

If u have grown outside u can do it very easily. Just need dail room in.

Which could take one grow. So who ever is funding this. Make sure let them know. First one will be the learning curve.

If you grown outdoor an have some experience you still double your money back! On first one.
