Start in jiffys and when sprouted transplant in to a 4" pot until its around 5-6" tall then move them in to your final pots and when you see roots through the holes on the bottom of your pots thats the time to step up the pot size.
you have any ill side affects from the scotts soil , top soil work out good in containers after you add perlight?
Exellent here is my soil and perlite. The soil is from J.Arthur bowers (scots top soil) and the perlite from westlands.

Yes if you want but i just go for a regular nute free scots top-soil but by all means yes if you feel better with that just get a nute free ph stable soil and you are good to go.
