I also believe that to have an accurate account of maturity, trichomes need to be checked in all seperate colas, and preferably in two spots per cola. You may find where ONE cola is primarily amber, but the one on the other side is milky, or clear even. Also note...that the tip of a cola has the NEWEST growth, which means in most cases the trichs in those areas will be far behind ones that had been maturing already for some time. Averaging out the data you collect will give you a good Idea when to take the whole plant, or you can also harvest the more mature parts, and leave the rest to finish. Hope this helps. If you want: If i may just elaborate on this one a bit.
1. An energetic/heady high harvest when the trichomes are milky
2. A body high harvest when the trichomes are amber (it is my belief that there is dark and light amber. The Darker...the closer to couch lock you get)
3. A high that is a combination of both harvest when the trichomes are half milky and half amber.
Your not losing weight. Your going to lose potency, and you won't gain the extra weight from the last 2 weeks, wich can account for up to 30%. Be patient, or you'll end up unsatisifed. Will I be losing a lot in weight if i cut the the trichomes are still clear?
