As title says^

I'm only going to use a 400 watt Metal Halide bulb.
PRICE IS A FACTOR.

I'll only be running one bulb, so it really doesn't need to be some overpowered box that can generate electricity for the whole house.

So where should i go to get this? Help me please :-P

Thanks ahead of time!

400w is 400w. just check on ebay for something in your price range. they have kits with ballast, hood, bulbs, hangers for fairly cheap

if none of those catch your eye check htgsupply.com

Look on ebay & craigslist. You can find some good deals if you got the time & patience.
I got a used dimmable 400W lumatek for $85. More than your budget, but just an example.

you only get out of something what u put into it.....save your $$ and buy quality hardware...what happens when that cheap used ballast dies in mid flower...or short circuits cause sume1 like you tried a cheap at home rebuild....buy a magnetic ballast..they last much longer then digital and cheaper...
