whats up guys and girls, i need help with my grow. i have a drain/fill hydroponic setup and i got 10 clones, 3 diff strains. 7 of my plants are 2 feet and under and the other 3 are like 4 feet tall now, i should have started flowering this upcoming monday but some of my plants are still really small. what should i do? oh yea and i alredy topped the 3 big ones to try to slow them down but they are still growing like crazy and i give all my plants the same amount of nutrients so why are they growing sooo fast and my others are still small?Photo on 7-14-13 at 2.40 PM.jpgPhoto on 7-14-13 at 2.40 PM #2.jpg:joint::weed::weed::weed: look at those 2 small ones in the middle, can anyone tell me why they are growing like that?

It does depend on the strain. I'm doing GSC for the first time, they shot up to about 36" while my OG's and GD's grew 12-15" on a 4 week veg. Topped them all 2-3 times. I did use bushmaster the first 4 days of flowering to on the GSC to stunt their growth(it did help). I'm also using home made trellis to keep them from tipping. Beginning flowering at 12-15" I've had pretty good results yielding 1.25-1.75 per light, can't wait to see the GSC yield in a few weeks tho.

I don't know if time is an issue, but you may want to veg for a couple more weeks. If some are ridiculously taller than the others, I like to top them near a nodal point that is similar to the height of the others. Usually you don't have to do this if they are the same strain, but sometimes it's beneficial just make sure you have an equal distance from your light. I would allow at least 1-2 weeks from the time that you top them, just so they can recover from the stress of being topped. This should solve the problem... for now. Another recommendation, or if they continue to outgrow the shorter ones, is to simply tie them down. Either way, give them time to adapt to either solution before flowering. Good luck!

Just bend the big branches and tie them down. You will start to get more side growth and increase your yield. When the small plants catch up then flower them all.
