I have a job. It doesn't pay great, but it pays enough. I've been at it for several years now, but because of various internal business workings it has become so stressful that I am reaching the end of my ability to deal with it. Unfortunately, I don't have much in the way of options so I'm pretty much stuck doing this. It is either that or end up on the public dole, and I'll be damned if I do that. I need to cope with it and that means self medicating. Smoking weed certainly helps with coping, but the head trip is a bit too much for the multitasking and information handling I need to do for my job. I've experimented with a propylene mushroom extract that helps a little, but it is too difficult to manage the dosage and if I'm off by just a little bit then handling data on a computer will be very tricky. A shot of vodka will do it, but I obviously don't want to get drunk and that is not something that can be maintained throughout an entire day. The only thing that does it exactly right is Vicodin. One tablet seems to make everything fine, I can still focus on my work and be a productive employee without any personality changes or impairments. The stress is just gone. This is something I am not comfortable with taking every day. And even if I was, I have no access to it other than getting one once in a while from my wife who has a very tiny prescription for managing chronic pain. Basically, I need a suggestion. I'm stuck in this situation and I really don't want to have a meltdown.
