Can someone help me out with a soil mix I can buy for mothers at Home Depot. Thanks. It;s for OG KUSH 2x42wCFLs
I believe they sell Fox Farm at Home Depot, not sure if they have all styles but they will have a soil that will work for you. I get one big bag of soil, a small bag of peralite, and a small bag of vermiculite, that is my mix. Nice and airy.

All ingredients can be purchased, in bags, at Home Depot, garden supply stores, or regular hardware stores.

4-Way Mix:
1 part Compost.
1 part Perlite (and/or Vermiculite).
1 part Top Soil (store bought, not "back yard dirt").
1 part "Steer Manure"/Fertilizer*.

Mix the 4 "equal parts" together (I usually add 1-2 Tblspns. of Dolomite Lime per gal. of mix to help stabilize the pH - your results at home may vary!). Moisten the mix and let it "cook" for at least a few days.

*This 1/4 portion of the total mix can be straight steer manure or made up of any kind of manure or "Balanced Organic Fertilizer", mixed with the first three ingredients, to equal "1 Part". The goal is to keep the "Fertilizer Part" at about the same overall strength as straight, composted, steer manure - no stronger!

I've used the recipe above, only I use worm castings instead of steer manure, but it's really a matter of personal preference.

I would also add some blood, blone, and kelp meal. Like a cup of blood and kelp a cubic foot and 2 cups of blone. If you were to let this sit semi moist for a month or two then you could according to the lit just add water. I am trying this and also some organic ferts. Read super soil. Works great for veg so far.

They sell the blood and bone etc inside. If you want to use nutes it is still good to have some npk in there.

Home depot has lots fo compsts and peat bags that are cool.
