I made a light change and have some questions

I went from a Spider Farmer SF1000 to a Viparspectra 2500 HS. I had the new light at 50%(125W) and turned it up to 75% and within 36 hours some fan leaves have yellowed. The light is 15 inches from my tallest plant and I can't go any higher, because of my tent. I turned it back down to 50%. I have 3-4 weeks left before harvest. Any suggestions or similar experience? I thought a better light would benefit me at end of harvest. I am scared to go over 50%.

There's always a learning curve with a new light, I had similar issues when I changed lights. Next time you'll know to do more LST/HST to keep the plants low, and/or flip sooner, then you can turn the lights up. I'm about 6 weeks into flower and I've got my lights at about 60% (300 W). I too have height issues, and if I turn it up any higher I'll get light burn ,which I discovered the first ime I used the new HLG. If the buds are still looking great, let it ride, and maybe turn it up the last week or two.

Thank you Phytoplankton. I think I am ok I caught it after the first 36 hours on a few leaves. Thank you for the advice.

I have found that water ph and the need for cal/mag(haters gonna hate) increases relative to HID. They will need adjustments. You went from 200w 208 diodes to 250w 840 diodes so go easy with the lamp getting turned up. I give plants at least 10 days of building up to above 75%. Just .05 cents worth of free advice...

You should run both lights dimmed down .

That will allow you to run them closer without as much light burn.. if it Is light burn and not coincidence.

Wish I could help, I'm trying to dial in my new light as well, with not much luck.
Hopefully I haven't screwed up my first attempt.
Just dropped it to 50% but I think the damage is done.
Be careful and patient, and best of luck.
