Seriously, the guy is just a great thinker, irreverent, fearless, and funny as hell. I think that humor is a great way to educate (like, Maher, Jillette, Carlin, etc..), it seems to get past people's defenses it a really effective way. Feel free to post humorous videos that make your point...

I was glad he addressed this as the week before he didn't have time. Kennedy was on (old MTV vj) and near the end she slipped in that atheism is a religion, and he didn't have time to respond to it. I wish he would have spelled it out more clearly, I think people like Kennedy will still be saying it's a religion.

Bill tends to lose his critical thinking skills when it comes to alternative medicine. I remember some skeptical group or another giving him some sort of award when Religulous come out, and then retracting it later after they saw his views on things like homeopathy.

Here is a great skeptical comic, Paul Provenza. I really enjoy his Showtime program, The Green Room, where comedians bullshit about the profession. You can also find some good interviews with him over at skeptics guide and For Good Reason where he talks about comedy being a tool to teach truth and critical thinking skills.

A TON of alternative medicine is TOTAL BS! I don't blame him for being skeptical considering even very well respected herb & vitamin stores sell useful products right along side things like ear candles.

Thanks, Heis. Provenza is interesting, I just watched this interview with him talking about the very subject of this thread, and praising other comics for their consciousness-raising humor. Most notably, Stephan Colbert, who I also like... I didn't know about Maher's endorsement of homeopathy, people's (even really intelligent people) inconsistencies are always interesting...

Hey, Zaehet! I like this website, there's some Nova episodes here that I can't locate on PBS.org. Your link brings me to a general ovguide page, is there a particular video you wanted to share? Until then, I'm watching, 'What Darwin Never Knew'...
