well firstly let me say there is no such thing as stupid questions.... just stupid people lol im only joking, if outside it depends on how you are doing it, if you are just relying on the sun then just after the begining of summer is a good way to go, with hardening so the mj doesnt get stressed, as for indoors/in a shed, then it doesnt matter because we create the enviroment ourselfs, we provide the light, heat, water, nutrients ect. if you are a first time grower i would personally suggest indoor, it may cost a little more but you dont run into as many problems as outside, the weather is un-predictable, but indoors we controll everything so we run into less problems, also if you live in a area where it is not legal you will get in serious trouble growing outside, and indoors you can have military grade zips and carbon filters so your place doesnt stink out, if you like make a decision and i will do my best to guide you threw, taking into consideration that outdoors is based on time of year, hope to hear from you soon, furious

i grow outdoor/indoor autos and photos. late June is when you'll get maximum sunlight outdoors. i usually start my autos around late April and start photos about the first of June. works out great for me. i only grow about 4-5 months a year and harvest enough to keep the wife and me supplies for over a year. Not stupid Q at all bro! I have 2 auto's outside right now about 2 weeks old or so. I've been told that auto's don't give two tears in a bucket about the lighting schedule and contrary to that I've seen on here that some do need a little encouragement to start to flower. Now on to point 2, Auto's suck. I tossed mine out for fun just to see what happens. Right now they get about 12 hours of sunlight so I'll just play it by ear. Good luck and don't worry about your questions being stupid or not, if you don't know and don't ask that is the stupid part.

well I'm not a first time grower but thanks for asking furius248. well this will be my second time growing an auto my cat knocked my other one over and she broke just as she was starting to flower. Was gutted the only reason i asked was because i was thinking of starting another but never knew if it was to late in the year now to start another auto even in doors but thanks:leaf:

malicifice i must dis-agree but to a extent you are mainly right, most autos are very low yeilders and low thc, however you can get different strains, i think it is the vanilla kush auto is 22% thc, which isnt bad, and the sweet tooth auto is a plant that can yeild upto 200g per plant (i have one on the go now ;-)...) so you are mainly right that they arnt the best buf for a small grower or a noob there great.

Yup, I'd say you are good on that Ganjarules106. Keep us posted!

I have to agree with furious248 on his post, malicifice. There are some great yielding strains with some Kick-ass potential when it comes to the THC content. There are now (I believe that Short Stuff's Super Cali Haze was the first {breeder - "Stitch"}) Super-autos as well to consider, which have a bit less ruderalis (the LOW THC strains that give the plants the auto-flowering gene) in them and therefore take about a MONTH longer to mature. You can check out my Super Cali Haze, although it got severely stunted very badly due to a worm making a home out of the base of the stalk, early on! I nuresed it back to health and it was much larger than the other three strains that I grew (17" base to tip w/9" kola) , and two of those (Deliscious LaDiva, and White Moscow (brand?) were a solid, KIND, medium to medium high content. The buds were fairly dank, but I have had better to be fair and honest. And I alone ruined the smallest yielder of the lot (Short Stuff - Automatic Assassin) by putting it in the Baby jar too soon and saturating it with Chlorophyll! I was so PISSED at myself! Herbies Auto flowering site lets you choose by EVERY important Catagory, including Medical grade, Big Yield, High THC, Indica, Sativa...on and on. Just remember to back up the companies claims here or at other respecatble forum sites and you SHOULD be able to find urself a MONSTER.

List of 8 auto strains that are Cup Winners. You can't be slack in THC if the strain is a cup-winner, right? AGAIN...I personally would check for any available independent info to be found if I could.
The List (at Herbies Autoflower site):

List of High yielders, and (dunno y it isn't in the list) Buddha Magnum (too new for info in advert.) That one I WANT and will get with or without referencing independent info...lol...exceptions to every rule, eh?
