I know, I know, but how much longer?

This is my first grow and I need to get set up for harvesting, trimming, and drying. Just trying to get a ballpark on these. All auto's if it matters. I have included my wild ass guesses from zilch experience.

Blackberry Kush - I think about a week?

Super Lemon Haze - 10ish days?

Royal Gorilla - I think this has closer to 3 weeks left

I second that. Blackberry is probably just about there, at least two weeks on the others.

Also, real nice work for a first grow. That Blackberry looks lovely!

These are the points I would expect them about done. If you have a way to check trichomes at that period it will help you dial in exactly when you want to cut. Most plants need longer then many growers try to give them.

BlackBerry 10-14 days

Haze 3ish weeks

Gorilla 3ish weeks maybe more

Extend super lemon to 3 weeks gorilla possibly to 4.

How you thought that lemon had 10 days when you were giving the blackberry a week longer lol.
I was thinking the Blackberry would be less than a week and the haze would be the next week after that. These are all complete shots in the dark though. I have no experience except looking through threads on here.

I call bs on first grow.. Lol joking. Sort of. Great looking plants
Thanks. I'm no stranger to photosynthetic life, just to growing cannabis. Lol

Thank you. I was trying to get an idea of when to start checking trichomes since, from what I've gathered, it is pointless to look at them prior to the pistils receding and the calyxes swelling and I'm not sure exactly what THAT looks like. Milky, clear, and amber seems much more straightforward.

Yep I’m glad to help. I know it’s tough for new growers to know what the various signs of maturity look like. From my experience the signs are pretty darn consistent and happen in order. I’ve had a couple plants over the years that might have matured weird, but all in all cannabis plants usually follow the same pattern.

First the stigma turn red and shrink. Once a solid 90% have done that it shows the plant is done trying to reproduce.

After the stigma change the swell starts. The plant won’t look like it’s growing much on the outside. But the buds will be swelling up internally and putting on significant weight and density! The swell usually takes 2-3 weeks.

As you get near the end you can start watching the trichomes for the final decision on harvest. 100 cloudy is the goal, but is nearly impossible. So watching for a few ambers makes sure you don’t end up pulling early with lots of clear.

Thank you. Honestly this is probably the clearest description I have read. The calyx swelling is what threw me the most. I have noticed so far that the colas formed and lengthened first then stopped and started growing significantly in girth for about a week-ish. Knowing that the swelling talked about when waiting to harvest is different clears up a lot of confusion.

It also explains why that plants still taking nutrients despite not as much visible growth. Less than before, but more than I'd expect if she were done.

Seriously, thanks again. That makes me feel pretty confident I can cut them at the right time. Based on your description your spot on with the Blackberry needing a week or two more.

Its one thing to tell you but better for you to leave one go real late and then you can be your own judge.
I'm doing exactly that with two White Widows and two LSD that are both well behind these. Figure the side by side with the same strain will really let me see the difference between an earlier vs later harvest.
