So i noticed people ranting about a massive ban of user names as of late.


This is what i think:

This is a FREE site for information, makes a great
3rd party source for help and ect... blah blah.
The community here is kewl....great, but seriously,
Get a new username if its a big deal, its not like
your ip wil be banned or ur pc, if it comes down
to it format ur drive and rename ur pc somthin
diff and make a new alias, ex. BannedUserName2.
As for all this stuff about the mods i hope they didn't ban anyone for recruiting to another site, that would be the stupidest thing
i've ever herd of.


But just in case: if there is no GOOD reason
for a mod(s) to ban a bunch people
(obviously really liked people) then stick a
log up ur dick, get a real job and stop thinking
you're kewl cuss u can ban people.

If there was a good reason (which i care not to know) ignore this post and go on with your life.

reason and i'll do my bidding elsewhere

I have seen this discussion topic in several different threads... I have gone through and read everyones things and it seems everyone is a good person... sicc, twisty, fdd, and you ... however I must agree if you get banned for promoting other sites on this site than that is ludacris... I've been on other sites and have seen people promote this site and not get banned? shouldn't we all be community and work things out... i don't know?

So i have read those couple links and still dont know what everybody is crying about. Follow the rules, everyone agreed to them when they signed up for the FREE site. I would like to keep this a growing web site and not turn it into myspace or some shit.

I think you lack enough information about current events here, and the administration of a large competing forum to make any statements on whether or not the decisions made are 'stupid' -- and yes, there is a perfectly good reason why certain members get banned. :lol:

My best recommendation is to just contribute good material, help others, be respectful of one another, and don't spam... Every contributing member of rollitup makes this community a better place, and those who come to stir up shit, spam, and attack others will be dealt with :)

Also, I could be wrong (I say this sarcastically) but I would think that stealing members from any community is a bad thing... and definitely deserves a ban, if not a kick in the nuts. :lol: It takes a lot of hard work to make a community popular, and why should people be able to leach off members of the community?

I think your perception of what this community stands for is FAR off from reality... Spamming other sites IN GENERAL is a ban, I know this because I spend a lot of time certain banning members and deleting their spam posts, because that is how they earn money leaching off of a FREE community. :roll:

Many of the forums I've visited over the years consider it impolite to promote other forums without permission. Whether it's ban-worthy is for the staff to decide. I don't necessarily agree, but I support the policy here.

People generally get a warning for their first offenses, but those who can't take a hint end up banned, which generally would have happened regardless...

Now when we say promoting another site, we are talking about the author of the site advertising it right? Not somebody like me posting links to threads in other forums that contain the information im trying to share right? I dont think there is anything wrong with that.

so i did a lil research on the twisty thing and i guess he was banned for posting private messages in a forum, only once i have seen.

the rules say 3 offenses is a ban? or somthin like that....

where does that apply? has he been warned before?

I don't think the staff discloses private conversations with members to the public... Don't bother.
