ok so i'm ripping out my hair over what in the hell is causing my 8 prime "i know there female" clones to pop balls... 15 minutes ago i went into my flower den to investigate... so i'm looking all around the door way into the den... its ok, then i turn around and i'm looking all around the room, i finally notice the red light on the power strip glowing away like a mini little sun... confusing the gender of my girls... i'm pissed and happy at the same time... my first grow suffered because of this too...

thank you, and fun...

yeah its like the red light is so natural looking on a power strip you forget that is a actual light that could harm your girls.

Your power strip should be plugged into the timer (which is plugged into the outlet). When the timer turns off the power, the power strip light goes off ;)

The only light I have in my room during lights off is the glow of the PH meter ... it's a dim green glow so all good... no harm.

i put tape over the light... it runs the ocsillating fan and co2 generator, light mover, oh yeah the scrubber... all 24-7

are you sure.... that little red light is prolly not the cause of your balls droping I'm almost sure of it. I would check into it further because unless its really close to your plants it shouldn't be a problem. what else is wrong with the picture?

the room is only 5x5x7 the strip itself hangs top bud level about 3 ft off the ground...the plants that are closest to the strip were the first to show pods the ones furthest are still okay so far... it is the culprit... and if it isn't i'll probably stick to out- door growing j/k never give up!

i'll post pics later when the light s come on
It is too late now, but I am curious...if he had used the banana trick at the start, could it have countered the effect of the mini suns? (Banana trick: lay a banana near the base of each plant. supposedly, as it deteriorates, it gives off a gas than feminizes the plant.)

Nah, I don't know. All I know of is the banana trick, which is something I will definitely do, if I grow anything. If you've smelled rotting bananas, it's not too bad. Certainly better than the smell of spoiled milk, or something that has soured. There is supposed to be something that seeds are treated with that feminizes them, but I doubt you can use it on plants. My guess is it's made from the same thing in the bananas, lol. Sorry about your girls. Gender confusion can suck.

time will tell it is an old school power strip and the light isn't a LED its an actual little light bulb when i'd seen it in the dark it illuminated the room a tiny bit... i know its okay to go in during the dark period but a constant bit of light i hope that what it is. pic 1 the suspect... you cant see the glow when the lights on... pic 2 the victims...
