I have about 700 bucks for a room, what should I do?

Seems like a simple enough question. I have a slight idea of what I want, however I am new to the game (not even one under my belt) and would greatly appreciate hearing some opinions.

Roughly willing to spend about 700 dollars on a room, Not really wanting to go as big as a 1000w... and seeds to be included in the pricing.

What would you do, if you had to start from scratch with that money. Thanks in advance.

3x3 and 600w might be a good combo for you.

Yeah I was thinking along those lines. I wasn't really thinking about a 600w though. I was going to get a 400w in a 3X3 tent. I was hoping for a more in depth answer, going as far as strain choice, hardy plants and whatnot.

I would save over half that and go with a vertical setup like this one here http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=197502 I wish RUI had a vertical section. This was the guys first attempt at growing hydro and it is layed out for you to follow step by step. maybe if you cut the plants down to 4 and use a 400. 3 part nutrient. GH. AN etc.
Small tent/Closet
Couple Fans
tap water
PH tester
PH up and down

That would be pretty cheap. Really great deals on 400 watt and ballast setup on amazon.com! There are also good deals at HTGsupply.com

Big Bud would be nice. Great yeild and good buzz. White Widow. Diesel line maybe.

Get a 330w Phillips Retro CMH bulb. Can be used for flower n veg and will keep ur tems down because usually 400w and up start giving u heat issues with no AC.

Definetly recommend you get a air cooled hood and a carbon filter. Don't forget bug control also. Prevention is key.
