i have a question,

Literally every single marijuana documentary ive ever seen marijuana revolution for instance last night on the history channel every grow room it shows the lights are 4-5 feet away from the plants but have colas bigger than my arm. How is that possible with every chart ive seen saying 18" to 24" is optimal distance for 1000watt setup?? Just wondering what everyones thoughts are

Maybe they pick them up to get video of the plants?

I thought about that but even in commercial YouTube grows ive seen the same thing.

Well I imagine they are raising the lights for the video.

I can't imagine then lifting 60+ lights for a 2 second scan of the room. I was wondering if I'm missing something like should i keep them further away
