OK. so i have 2 40 wt. flour tubes over seedings. i am sitting here wondering if the seedling on the very end of my tubes is getting less lumens than the one in the middle.

Basically, if my tubes are rated at 3000 lumens. if i were to tape the tube every three inches. would each little slot put out 3000 lumens or is it the entire tube as a whole?:-| get what im saying?

It is the entire unit as a whole (the entire amount of lumens projected). This is how I set my seedlings up, I put the ones on the ends under their own CFL's because I didn't think they were getting as strong of an output.

On a side note, fluorescents are more then adequate for the first two weeks of seedling and seedling growth. It will give your girls a good introduction to the world before you hammer her with some real light ;).

This is my setup (or half of it) for seedlings.
