I have a horribly excellent problem!

Could anyone advise me on a safe way to stunt growth for about 2 months? I mean a way that won't affect the eventual end result?

I was in the midst of moving and didn't get to move my veg room to flower, and now the plants would more than fill up the flowering room, so I can only do a two at a time. I need to stunt the growth in the veg room.

If anyone knows how to stunt them please let me know. I tried half-ing the light but they just started to stretch, exacerbating the problem.

(sry I tried searching but couldn't find an answer)

tie them down/lst.. or top them. all i can think of..you are probably SOL though.. unless you have a lot of time to be pruning and tying down..

Hydro or soil??

bushmaster will do it but be careful the hormone isnt listed but dutch masters has simular prod. the chemical and use are here on rui if you can find it dont know were i read about it befor i had to do it and it did work well

I would top and super crop/LST them.

No way you can stunt for 2 months and not effect the end result in some way.

I say you got two options.

1.) Clone, Clone, Clone

2.) Root Pruning would work well for your situation. Depending whether your in hydro or soil, this could get complicated. Its a sure way to stunt growth for roughly two weeks and I think it would work well for your situation but your gonna have to prune them roots atleast twice probably more.

Thumbs down for bushmaster. Its designed for bloom and not vegetative growth, not saying you couldnt use it, I just wouldnt. Bushmaster can get kinda pricey too.

Unfortunately chapters could be written on the effect moving has on current grows. I once had to kill an entire perpetual harvest grow op due to a relocation. 48 plants in all three stages of growth met an untimely death.

Anything you do will affect the final outcome, but not necessarily in a bad way. Pruning, or trimming as required, seem to be your only options here. Should it happen that you know anybody in the real world who could use some clones you could share the bounty when you cut the plants back to manageable size, but due to the nature of our hobby I realize this is unlikely.

Thanks all, it is a lot later but I saw I never thanked everyone for replying. I tried the bushmaster and that was great, and having the same problem again due to bad design layout in my place, I am using that and half-light to slow until space in the flowering room opens up. I did try the root pruning, but in a aeroponic grow it didn't really seem to help.

I ended up losing everything back then though due to one of the dogs finally getting brave and using the stairs and came down to find me introducing a horrible mite problem. I eventually had to throw everything out and fumigate to be rid of them.

just kill them and start when there ready why make them suffer?

You should have foreseen this (as most people don't move on spur of the moment) and made the proper adjustments before the problem occurred....now you're in a hole....and whatever you do to stunt your plant, you're gonna hurt yeild.....choice now is to grow for quality not quantity....
