Hello Im on my first grow and just have a couple pretty simple questions for you guys.

Im germing my seeds right now (i have six going) using floros and wanted to know when it was ok to switch to my 400w mh?

Secondly when I put them into my net pots how would i go about getting the ladies water til the roots are large enough to actually reach the water/nutes?

Thank you!

i am also on my first dwc grow. i usually do nft and have 8 on the go in 3 nft tanks. i have a rhino in the bubbler.

before my seedling started to root i placed it straight into the bubbler and just let it grow. the spits of water coming up from the air bubbles kept the rockwool cube wet. you could use your halide just now but keep it well away from the seedlings as it will be too hot. i would have it if possible say 4-5ft above them for a few days then bring it dwn gradually till your at the desired hight. im not an expert so plz get a few opinions b4 you go ahead n change your light..

best of luck m8.

1. Keep the seedlings under the floros until you have several sets of leaves.

2. Don't worry about getting water to the plants. Jusk keep your solution level to about 1/4 inch below the bottom of the net pots. The bubbles coming up from the airstone will break on the surface and keep the bottoms of the pots wet enough. The roots will naturally seek out the water below them and grow into the nute solution. Just be sure that you are using enough airstones for the number of plants ... and be sure that the airstones are working.

3. As said, once you transplant the seedlings, and are using the 400 MH, keep it way away from the tops of the little ones. There are just a few basics to this stuff and once you catch on, you're pretty much home free.

4. Good luck.
