For instance, these two options...
1) Great tasting, fantastic looking bud...3 grams for $80...
or
2) Standard issue brick weed, that taste/smell of a shitty grow and no real curing...12g for $60.
WTF? No middle ground.

I also suggest you grow your own, move to BC for all practical purposes it might as well be legal there.

I posted about this before, in someone else's topic, but basically it was really really airy homegrown, that looked like maybe 5 grams by size (which we know isn't accurate).
The girl who hooked me up, she said her guy "hooked me up"...so she wanted to know the weight. I weighed it, came out to 3g on the nose.

I'm in the U.S., and with the way things are, I feel it's just a matter of time before (at least medical) marijuana policy is changed to make life easier. Even if I'm not getting it medically, it seems to help the overall market.
And I'm aware of the benefits of growing, but sometimes you are ready before the plant lol

I'm in the North East. There are dry spells every now and then, and that's what I've been told is going on (though, I thought harvest time was now).
Also, being in the North East makes me wonder why brick weed would come from the south...that there must be brick weed coming from somewhere more local.
EDIT: The average prices, I've seen growing up...were $20 for an 1/8th of mids, $20 a g for specialty stuff, $10 a gram when street weed is by the gram, $60 - $120 an oz for brick weed. Oz of anything better varies.

I like anonymity, so I'll have to keep the stories very loose in details.
The stripper...I worked a day job with her mom. She got a part time job at the same retail location, while at night stripped in a reaaally shitty part of town. I didn't know this when I met her, and her mom didn't know either. I met her at work, asked her out that night. We meet at some kids house on our way out, end up having sex in the dude's bathroom. The dude is even coming in and out looking for stuff, and I have her up on the counter lol. The "relationship" was like that, I'd pick her up from her stripper job in this place smaller than my apartment, we'd go out do drugs and have sex in random places. She then embarassed me at an event for our day job, everyone thinking she is with me, while she is stripper dancing on the dance floor because she is so drunk. She left the country to persue stripping in Europe.
The Muslim girl...I met her on a campus, she was protesting something (or promoting something eco friendly, I dunno). I'd go to her apartment, and fool around...she was passionate, but limited in what she could do...though I could do whatever lol. Her roomate was a bartender who got the best weed ever. I'd get high with the roomate, she'd go to work, then I'd fool around with the girl. Things ended when I accidently got her sick with tonsilitis, and she had to be rushed to the emergency room. I never actually told he she got sick from me, if I recall correctly.

you're getting ripped off on both ends. On the other hand, if these people grew the weed (the good weed) there is a lot of effort put in to growing it, so sometimes I get why people charge crazy prices. It's because they don't really care if they sell it to you or not usually,..or they're getting it for 20 a gm and making 20 off you to buy a gram for their selves. If somebody was to ask me for a 3 grams, and I charged 60 for 3 grams (which is still high) and they bitch about it, i'll make it 70 quick like because I don't care. "is that out of your price range? that sucks..peace". Call me a dick. If you don't like it , grow your own. I can point you in the direction of some fat dime bags.
Honestly, you just need to meet the right people. Sometimes it takes a while. Don't be preyed on by greedy dealers.
