And thought I'd share it with ya'll...

Would dry ice be a good source for CO2?

What if you placed a bowlful in with your plants and you let it evaporate? Would it work?

Inquiring minds would like to know. :D

yes it would work, expensive but do-able.
BTW the bowl would have to be above the plants as it's heavier than air and would just fall to the floor

It would evaporate really quickly so any benefit would be very short lived.

What I would suggest is you get an old BBQ gas cylinder (make sure it is empty), unscrew the top and put dry ice inside ... then you can regulate how fast you let the CO2 out.

I have read about dry ice solutions using an inexpensive foam cooler with holes in it, and a few small chunks of dry ice per day or something. Never tried it myself, but did consider it.
