Damn man. That sucks bro!
Has your attorney tried working a deal with the District Attorney where you live? See if they can work out some kind of deal with you and your attorney. Might be worth it buddy.. I don't know the laws in Illinois, nor do I know how many plants were there when the PO-PO busted you or whatever.
40 plants...
Anyhow, do you have any idea of how much time you may have to do yet? Is it your first offense??
Definitely not my first offense. I went down in 2000, and 2005. I've got 5 previous felonies. None for growing, tho. I'm lookin at 2-5 years. Illinois has the 505 law, so I'll only do half of what they sentence me to...
All kinds of variables will be in play, as to how the judge will see things.. ya dig? Like, for example.. if you have no previous arrests (I'm talking about misdemeanors and felony arrests) then you'll be fine buddy. But, if you have any past arrests (misdemeanors and felonies) then you may just be screwed... unless you know how politics work.
Politics have saved my ass plenty of times. In fact, my latest arrest.. which was 3 years ago (long story.. and a fucked up story at that) I got setup by someone I had known for a good 10 years and considered him to be a good "friend" of mine (which is why I don't trust anyone.. except myself these days)..
(GOOD IDEA!!!) but yeah, I had known the guy for about 10 years. I can't even count the number of joints we smoked together.. how many parties we had... etc. But, yeah.. he set me up 3 years ago, because he knew I was hooked on Oxy/Roxy pills.. and instead of being a cool person and trying to talk to me face to face about it.. he decides for whatever reason.. he decides to set me up. Long story short.. I got arrested that afternoon.
The PO-PO's charged me with 'possession of a controlled substance' (PCS) which is a felony.. and then, the second charge, was 'conspiracy to purchase/possess a controlled substance' which is a strong misdemeanor charge.. right under a felony I believe.
Anyhow, I (well, my father and brother-N-law) got the charges reduced from felonies.. to both being misdemeanors. Got me 5 years probation.. and I know they're watching me.. they're watching my ass like a fucking hawk! But, I know they are.. so I watch my step.. dot my 'I's and cross my 't's.
But, the only reason my father was able to get the charges reduced to two misdemeanors.. is the simple fact that my father is a well known judge (federal, civil, workers compensation) and he spoke with some important people, of which are way higher up the ladder, than those lame pigs will ever be. My father worked his magic.. using politics and this and that, maybe even greased up a few palms (ya dig?) for all I know. What I do know, is that whatever my father and brother-N-law did.. they did it correctly.. and therefore got my charges dropped to two misdemeanors instead of two felonies.
If I wasn't so blessed to have a father who's well known in the "political" world.. I would still be in prison.. and my record would show two felonies.. instead of two misdemeanors. So again, politics plays a role in just about everything.. in our daily lives. Some we may notice.. but some we may not notice.. or even hear about. But, that's what politics are all about.
Politics definitely play a key role in every case. That's why I'm dragging this out, in court till after elections have passed.
anyhow.. if you have a good attorney.. and you've never been arrested.. and or you have no prior felony charges in the past.. then you'll be just fine buddy.
Either way though, we at RIU, want to wish you the best!! Good luck to ya's.
Thanx, friend.
Oh, lastly.. will you let us know.. when and if you find out how much time you're going to have to serve.. and when you think you might be able to come back to RIU?? Let us know bro!
It'll be a while, man...
peace..
P.S. - Don't drop the soap..
LMAO.. just kidding buddy! just kidding...
Haha.
Very funny, fucker. haha.
