I got spidermites

Looks like I have spider mites. Saw something small and whitish crawling. Took out my loop and although I have never seen a spider mite before it am quite certain it is them. They are very tiny and clear looking with all the legs, sort of round shaped. Found a oval egg as well. No way I can get a pic of them.

Sooooo now what. 4 weeks into flower what do I do? Lady bugs seem like my only option at this point? Has anyone actually ever eradicated spider mites in the middle of flower?

So bummed. Any help is appreciated.

peace.

I have been reading about hot shot no pest strips seem to work? Anyone use them? What was your success? Do I turn the circulation fans off?

I've used this concoction right up until harvest, you have to be careful not to spray the buds it tastes like shit but is completely non toxic. It doesn't completely irradicate them but it does keep them under control. Mix 1 liter of water with 200ml canola oil and 2 tbsp Castile soap. Mix it up and keep mixing 8t as you spray, douse the plant right down under the leaves on top of the leaves the stalks everything but the buds. Do this once a week and you will see a great reduction of them allowing your plants to grow to finish.

Well I am looking at pics of spider mites and they dont seem to look quite like the ones I am seeing. Spider mites seem to be darker in color, these are pretty clear looking. Chances are they are just young ones. I also don't see any spots on the leaves that I presume would be left behind when they bite the leaves.

I ended up just doing the hot shot no pest strip for 12hrs with extraction fan off. I only saw around 5 yesterday and only on one plant. I removed the no pest strip this morning and I can’t seem to find anymore I looked for like a half hr. I will do the pest strip again tonight when lights go out. Hopefully I caught them early enough. I could not for the life of me find anything this morning when the lights came on.

A dust mite looks the closest to what I am seeing.

Probably won't harm your yeild at this stage... They shouldn't be able to get to the buds with the increased trichome production, they just won't be able to get past the sticky icky. Keep pushing on and just make sure you have a good clean up and sterilise for your next one. And maybe just don't look so close... If you can't see them are they even there? Haha jks

Checked when I got home I see nothing. Either that hot shot strip worked rather well or they are hiding. I know I am not going crazy i saw and killed about 5. I just looked for another 45min and saw nothing. I keep it super clean though. I think I carried them in from my back yard most likely.

On a happier note the buds are looking marvelous! Really getting fat. If I can manage to make it to the finish line this is going to be a great harvest.
