As you will be able to see, the true leaves are continuing to grow larger and develop nice sharp serrated edges.

If you look really really closely, you can see a new set of leafs emerging from the middle. They're very small but you might be able to see them in this pic.

I also used the MG but the bugs seemed to find a way in.....right now I am noticing a white worm like bug on the sticky strips that I'm using and noticing fruit flies and a hair like bug in the vinager and soap mixture that I have in there. I bought some sand tonight so I will put that on there tomorrow when I get home from work. The only thing I don't like about the sand is that it will be a little tougher to tell the moisture of the soil with a layer of sand on the top.

:peace:
From "fresh" bagged soil youre saying bugs still found a way in?!

\I know this isnt exactly amazing but hey this is newbie central. I got a little seed to sprout!

From the seed, it took only a day to germinate a long root, then the next day (aftr planted) there is already a little tip popping out of the soil!!

:) Id have a pic here but idk how to do that. Oh man whats next!

-tom

UPDATE!! I now have a little seedling. . . .very very tiny! But here is essentially a 12 hour by 12 hour result... so far...
congradufuckinglations...

In only one day the emergence of new true leafs that will soon overlap the cotyledons are becoming more apparent.

The 2 main serrated leaves are also growing larger and longer, as the cotyledon leaves seem to be becoming smaller ...

lookin healthy! :)

(FYI- currently receiving 15 1/2 hrs of light of a 6500K [daylight- very bright] 15W CFL)

So I had posted a thread and asked if anyone had used the Ortho spray I bought for the "insects" and no one replyed so I sprayed down one plant figure I'll give it a few days and see how it reacts, then if it works out I'll spray the others. I'll let you know how it goes. :peace:

Congrats!

But I'm afraid It's all downhill from here, over watering, then brown leaves, then over fertilization, followed by nute burn, and over watering exacerbated by repeated flashing's lol then hermaphrodism, and finally death

Just kidding

Good luck

you been watching me?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (ok shutup this is my baby) --1 WEEK OLD :)

This little tiger seems to be growing at night!

Just from last night the new set of emerging serrated leaves have grown. Judging by the thickness of the leaves it looks like it's gunna be a little more indica than sativa

I read that the vigorous and fast growing plants are always male. With my luck, it's probably true. Anyone else hear that?

OH! And the plant looks perfectly healthy (as u can see) but the leafs are drooping towards the end... Now Im currently using a very bright 15W bulb... time to switch to the 26W? (see setup pic, 2nd one) Update!! The leafs are no longer droopy.
They seem to "perk up" after the bulb has been shining on it. Damn these things really love their light! lol

Also: I'm getting the hang of caring for this plant. I water every other day with only a few squirts of 'aged,' aerated water and it seems to be enjoying it much. There is also fertilizer in the MG soil and to avoid releasing too much I am using very little water [near the surface only for now].

********UPDATE!!********
The third picture shows the progress of the plant (@5:25 PM) since 8:15 AM this morning (first pic). What a difference!!!

The 2 main leaves are almost to the edge of the cup :O
