If you are really, deeply, worried then get clean now and delete that ^^^^^^^ post. If you have that in your system and they do come looking it's circumstantial but that is a problem if you couple it with some consciousness of guilt type behavior and some other reasons they might look at you.

Think of the sheer numbers ordering online? They can not catch everyone nor can they follow up. Sheesh much of our gubmint is on furlough so no I would not worry. But YOU know your life so you have to make that decision yourself.
The damn gubmint needs to upgrade its literacy policy. I have no idea what you even mean.

think pineapple express, "you got served" lol.. the way hes driving around giving people letters without them really knowing... if you had to goto court or anything legal for that matter.. they have to make sure that letter is in your hand.. if the post ofdfice guy dontmake you sign nit.. no worries, ive had sheriffs bring me certified mail. i was also getting served a restraining order.. but he had to MAKE SURE i knew what it was.

Crown, where ya been? I thought you were across the pond in the UK. If you live in FL, relax. Everyone else is right; you have to be served by a process server, sheriff's deputy, or certified mail. If it is really bothering you, (and probably what I would do) just call and ask them what's all the hubub. Do not use any number listed on the paper. Look the number up.

Have we learned nothing from the republican scare tactics after 9/11? Fear, fear, fear, and more fear! It's a powerful motivator for the ill informed.

Roll one with the letter and smoke it.

Relax, thats easy for you guys to say. I got busted after I got the same letter. No shit.Well, actually yeah thats shit I'm j/k

read the letter- i bet it says your goods were confiscated and if you want them you have to post a $5,000 bond. I have had that happen with cigars before- throw the letter away and forget about it. cheers!

My first thought is, was it registered or certified?
If not, ignore it.
IF, and I say IF, it happened to be a real letter, not a scam or something, it's up to the sender to prove the letter was received, not your problem to say "I never got it, don't know anything about what you're talking about".
You would be surprised at how the law works. It might not be the same in the US, but it wouldn't really surprise me if it was, but in the UK, once a letter is posted, it is legally deemed as delivered, there is no requirement for proof of delivery. Don't ask me why or how, doesn't appear to make sense, but this is from my father, and as one of the countries top lawyers for 40 years it's safe to say he knows exactly what he is talking about. Either way, should there be such legalities in the US, which as i say, wouldn't surprise me, it is not such a cut and dry issue. Best to research the law on the matter before making that assumption.
