41 deg latitude. I get flowers second week of August when I'm still receiving 14 solid hours of sunshine (10 hrs dark). I thought plants didn't flower until they received 12 hours of darkness. I don't understand!

Under 14 hours of light can trigger flowering. The plants also sense the days getting shorter and know summer will be coming to an end.

Its the same for me, will start to see the first flowers forming about a week into August. I will be under 14 hours around July 25th. 34 deg.

Different strains do different things . 12 hours darkness isn't an absolute, it's a proven recipe for indoor flowering . Strains that flower under less aren't necessarily a bad thing .

Tell me about it I wish they'd start flowering now so I could be done before November
