I found something and have a question!

I was on my way to my little patch of heaven I have off in the woods. And i usually stop at the opening where I go to just get away from people and enjoy getting my mind right. When I happened to glance over and notice to my surprise that there is mary jane growing right there. I have a feeling that this may have been a seed that i threw down there seeing as how its usually my last stop before the 15 minute hike to the lady farm. Now here is where it gets funny. I have been growin for a few years and have had brothers growin for years. So i know what males and females look like i have seen my fare share of both. But this really had me puzzled maybe cuase I just got done blazin and wasnt prepared for this type of find. It has had me thinking its a male but on the other hand i have never seen a male look like this. It has spikey balls that look sort like buds and a few hairs. it's about 2 feet tall and the balls range from about 1/2 inch in diameter to 1 1/2 inch diameter. My first thought was male, but talking to one of my brother he said that it is female. so i leave the debate you so wonderfully knowledgeable people. what is it male or female? Ill have pics soon to further help the investigation. Thanks for any help!

p.s. sorry long post

I had the thought that it was a hermy ill get pics up tomorrow to get a completely concrete answer. I know this may be a stupid question so dont flame me to bad, but i have never had this situation before, but are the buds on a hermy smokeable or do they tend to be weak like the males? My brothers says give it a try but i dont want a headache! Nothing i hate more then smokin some bad bud and getting a headace. again thanks for the answers

yeah it's smoke able ... just not sensi due to the male parts seeding the bud .. also id suggest removing the plant if u dont want your other ones seeded also

Doesn't it usually require stress or weird lighting conditions to go herm? If this one is au naturale, I dont see what could have made it go herm.

well think about it this way. you know how its from bagseed? imagine that the OP grew out this plant until it budded. it will pollinate itself, making all the seeds hermie as well. so, since it is bagseed, possibly the bud he smoked was a hermie's bud. its most likely genetics, not stress, that caused this plant to be a hermie.

Sounds interesting. Can't wait to see pics. I'm guessing hermie also.
I always love stories of random plants growing from discarded seeds, Always makes me tingle.

alright guys im back with pics, there has been a feud going between one of my brothers that he says female and I say hermy/male, the only reason i say that is out of all the females i have had i have never seen one looked like this, hence my knowledge. Notice the brown casings and since the almost week since ive been back there are some casings on the ground around it. Please tell me it a hermy/male cause if my brother is right i owe him a burn session and $50. so here it is let me have it.

and no the first 2 werent takin in the dark, my camera has a feature that makes everything darker behind the subject you are photographing plus it was getting ready to rain. so please please please tell me its some sort of weird lookin male or hermy, if you tell me that its a female, then i guess i have to go to the bank and go see my brother.

OKAY that definetly looks hermie......... no doubt about it..... how could that be a female with all the little balls on it........... no your right hermie it is

it could be just male, but that would be the most potent male i've ever seen in my life.......im betting on hermie, sometimes with unstable genetics a plant will be a hermie without light/other stress....

yep that's a hermie. I've been watching the Olympics over the past two weeks and have gotten alot of experience at identifying these odd things that nature presents to us.

haha i have too, but this one had me stumped for a little while. So antoher question are those the buds? or just really massive pollen balls? again i ask becuase im not sure, it looks like some sort of lab experiment gone wrong!

Those balls are the male flowers, but growing like a female. definitely herm. But +REP for a damn good hermie picture. This will definitely help anyone who is unsure if their plant went herm.

could be a female hemp plant. if there are railroad tracks close by then it is most likely a hemp plant
