I feel dumb, a genetic hermie polinated my females. Seeking helpful advice! =)

First and foremost I would like to give a brief introduction to my experience and the situation I'm dealing with. This is only my 2nd grow, my first was HUGELY successful! 3/3 females

This run consisted of 4 female beans, 3 made it into flower, one never germ'd. Currently sitting at week six of 12/12 and plants are thriving, tons of trich production. Probably have another 2-3 weeks until I would normally harvest. However I have noticed seeds on 2/3 of the plants.... The 3rd plant is a sativa dominate and is flowering at a much slower pace, no sign of balls yet, but can guarantee they are on the way due to VERY close proximity of all plants and high air circulation.

#1) Nirvana Ice (FEM Seed) - This plant has grown beautifully as all my others have, however during late veg it began showing signs of what looked to be male preflowers. I guess I was too naive and let it continue to flower in hopes of them being female preflowers that were very very young... I thought I had made the right decision to grow it out when pistols started appearing all over! I thought it was crisis averted! To be brutally honest I did not notice the plant was producing seeds or any hermie signs until yesterday (week six of 12/12) What's weird is there are still no signs of nanners or pollen sacks that are open? Just seed pods. Althogh it would be close to impossible to find in these dense FROSTY nugs. I've noticed most of the seeds are concentrated on lower branches and colas seem to be fairly OK, but won't really know until harvest and cured. This plant has the most seeds by far.

Being this plant is genetically hermie the seeds are crap from what I've been able to gather.

#2) G13 Raw Diesel (FEM Seed) - I am really upset this plant was pollinated, she is BEAUTIFUL (and stinky!). I very strongly believe this plant was a female from the start and was pollinated by the above hermie. Never saw anything remotely close to male pre-flowers 100% pistols all the way. I am REALLY hoping for a silver lining and the seeds she produces are useable and feminized? Not a ton of seeds to be seen, just a few at each inter node, do not seem to be many growing within the bud sites.

#3) NL x Haze #5 - This plant is a typical sativa with a very long flowering period. I will probably harvest it at the time I do the others to make room for a new crop. Most likely will use this under developed plant to attempt at making hash. It is producing trich's just at a slower pace.


So I guess what I'm trying to ask is the following:

- Should I harvest everything early, or let it go out to term? I'm afraid if I let them go the buds will be inundated with seeds vs. harvesting slightly immature bud with less seeds.

- Are the seeds produced by my pollinated female wort my time to save? I would assume they have a 75% chance of female and 25% hermie? Raw Diesel x Ice sounds like a fun combo!

i think plain water kills pollen...i may be wrong though. but a mild bleach water solution in a spray bottle should do you justice, the bleach will evaporate along with the water leaving dead pollen behind. i personally wouldnt go apeshit cleaning the room just because of the pollen. like i said a mild bleach water solution spray really good and saturate everything, spray the air and you should be gtg.

and yes the seeds will have a higher chance of being hermie, that dosent mean they will be but there is definantly the possibility. i would save them and give it a shot....just keep a carefull eye on them

many others here will tell you to burn down your house and move 1/2 way across the country....this isnt necessary.

It sounds more like you stressed a female. A feminized seed from a good breeder will be female.
If that is the case, the seeds will all be feminized and just as likely to produce male flowers as the parents are.

Trousers, I would agree with you, but I really feel like the Nirvana Ice was hermie to begin with. I was thinking about chopping it after seeing what looked like balls growing in late veg, then suddenly pistols started to appear and the balls never really seemed to develop hence it being a shock finding out six weeks into flower that I've got a hermie on my hands.

The G13 Raw Diesel on the other hand had never given the slightest hint of being male. I made the big mistake of assuming the pregnant female seeds sites were very swollen cylax's, I finally got curious and cut one off to investigate and behold! a seed. Damn. There seems to be one at every internode and few within the actual buds.

I'm thinking I'll let them grow out to term. The plants are in 5 gal containers with about 5-10 colas each plant the size of soda cans. Very sexy looking and to the untrained eye would never assume it's a hermie until you really get up close. Although I'm afraid if I let them go the seeds will overwhelm the buds that I have now........

This may sound like a stupid question, but why can't I find the pollen source? It comes from the banana looking things, right? I've looked all over these damn things and can't find anything resembling....

sorry for the rough experience, but that's the way most of us get experience, the rough way
misting with plain water takes out pollen quickly, but some more will likely do its damage if there are more male parts
and they can be very stealthy, even if you pluck by hand, it's likely a few will be missed
as to the seeds, well, you never know, genetics are always a throw of the dice
i've grown out some hermie seeds, some plants were fine, just straight femmes, others were not so nice

Harvested the Nirvana ICE last night, about 2 weeks premature. Buds look/smell great, seeds seem to be concentrated in the popcorn nug which I plan to make BHO out of. Even though the plant was hermie it still produced some quality smoke, I couldent help but think over and over while trimming how nice the plant would have been if it were female!

The other two plants still remain, the G13 Raw Diesel is looking better every day, I went over it with a fine tooth comb today after starting the flush. Still can't find any male parts, just one seed growing at each internode. Decided to let them be instead of plucking them (i'd go crazy!) that way they can mature and I can save them for a rainy day. Who knows, I could have stressed both plants into hermie somehow and have a killer new strain with Fem seeds to boot! (Raw Diesel x Ice)! However! VERY unlikely as my feed regiment is very good and very controlled grow environment that is very stable.

Also ordered up a bunch from the tude today. Gotta love the birthday special!
