Can somebody please help me!!! I am new to this, i would love to grow at a max four dank plants but i have no idea where to start, including seeds, and growing methods. Can someone help me please!
Keep it simple dude. And REMEMBER!! Most everyone has their own way. And I've found that is has been quite difficult to kill my plants.5 Different strains. And with all the missed watering, accidental light leaks..Temps have went over 100 a couple times. At 1st my 12/12 wasn't 12/12 because I didn't have a timer for a few weeks and I kept forgetting to turn em off.
Even with all that, all is well now.Healthy plants. No hermi's. Big juicy buds. Smoking some right now. Its good too. I've harvested some along the way and in a way I regret it. Seeing now, what that bud could have been. But at least I was smokin.

I wish you much luck man. Rule Numero Uno: Tell only those you trust with your freedom.

I apologize for my rant and for insulting you, but do you see how that is the impression that you gave off? This site has hundreds, probably thousands of hours' worth of reading material, before asking people how you can get the most out of four plants you need to slow down and read through all the basics. I understand being a perfectionist, and that could be either beneficial or detrimental in this. Beneficial because you're more likely to put the time in and do what you need to in order to make a system work very well, but detrimental because you can cause much bigger problems for a plant by being overprotective rather than by waiting things out to see what is causing little issues.

And regarding your desire for max yield, that is a very subjective view. Some would argue that the plant with the most dry weight got max yield, others highest yield over an amount of time, and still others using a gram per watt method. What sort of boundaries are you working with? Do you have any time constraints or are you in a permanent residence? If you've got any questions ask away, but read up on what you're wondering first. There are a lot of amazing growers here, check out some different methods and see what appeals to you.
Well put.I'll add, though.
I think what some people fail to see here is that people just don't come here for info, it for interaction with other people. Reading about something and carrying on a conversation with someone about it, are completely separate things. Its not like I can talk to just anybody about it.

I get what you're saying, but it'd be much easier to help people and even just to carry on conversations about growing and know what each other are talking about if people would explore the site for an hour or two and at least skim through the grow faq first. I do very much like the community feeling of this forum and that most people here are upfront, helpful, and not persnickety when there are differing views on a topic.

I am just coming up on harvesting my first grow. I started with a great closet and little else! I have 2 HydroFarm Emily's gardens. These are small systems. There are 6 sites in each, but I wouldn't grow more than 4 plants per system. They are only about $80.00 each. I started with one and bought the second for my newly outfitted Veg area. For this grow I used CFLs. I am buying a 400 Watt HPS for Flowering future grows, but will continue using CFLs for Veg. I lined my closet with Mylar sheeting that is black on the back. With this same Mylar and 2 tarp zippers, I sectioned off separate veg and flower areas, not to mention "The 'Shroomery" which is Hubby's project. A few things you CANNOT do without:
Ph tester
EC/PPM Meter
Good Nutes
Thermometer w/ RH meter
Good Lighting and LOTS of it
Intake and exhaust fans
Oscillating fan
Some type of odor control

Hope this helps a little. Good Luck!

I still have never tested the PH of my soil. Course its bout harvest time and everything is A OK. Although I reckon eventually I'll need to get one.

Thank You all for the suggestions and plans! I was growing out of an aerogarden before, and then my roomate burned it. THe next time i attempted was worse than that, so for about a year I gave until recently. I have many grow guides, but I am just stuck between soil and hydro.... and it seems like majority of growers choose soil. But thanks everyone an I will keep you posted.

I've heard great things about sour diesel, but that big bud is really hit or miss on the phenotype. You really can't go wrong with any major strain though, go with what appeals to you. Any idea when you'll be starting up the grow? Btw why didn't you mention your earlier growing experiences/knowledge from the start? That gives people a much easier time in helping when you have questions haha now I feel like a douche for my earlier comment, sorry man. And +rep for coming back to it, growing is addictive I doubt you'll give it up again so easily.

No need to feel like that. It took me forever to just write in the forum that I need help, nevermind talk about my 2 previous failures lol. I will just go straight for the nyc sd. I know this is a dumb question, but is it safe and an the seed banks deliver to the U.S.? And time is not an issue if I am using soill or hydro right, jus as long as I keep my light schedule the same?

Send me a PM when you get a chance. In general the seed banks are good and it's safe. Just use a big name one you've heard people used before and if you're that worried about it opt for stealth shipping and don't buy too many at once. It really isn't a big deal to have them delivered though. And not sure what you mean about the light schedule in soil vs hydro? Either way just use 18/6 or similar for veg then 12/12 for flower.
