I have a nice looking sativa strain growing , its about 6 weeks into flowering and I clipped a small bud off to dry and try but when I broke it up it had a bunch of little seeds in it ! It was never around a male plant , and I never seen signs of a hermie ! How can that happen ? I'm pissed and think I will just have a million seeds ! Does anyone have some info that would help me figure it out ? Thanks for the help !

there are only two ways it coulda happened..... It is a hermie, or it is a female that was pollinated.

sometimes one or two seeds can just be a freak occurrence, just the plants way of trying to survive by makin a few seeds to prolong that strains life. A bunch of seeds means you fucked up somewhere, either there is alight leak or there was stress in the life of your plant.

Ok , I never noticed male flowers on it and it was never near male plants ! It may have had a little heat stress in its life but not enough to burn the leaves , never had nute burn ! But its more then a couple seeds ! I guess I'm fucked ! The thing is its beautiful looking with resin all over it ! Damn that sucks

They can form deep inside the buds and can also be hidden by even the smallest leaves. Once they do their dirty work they disappear pretty much.

Ok , thanks for the info . It was a small bud that I cut on the bottom of the plant . Maybe the cola's higher on the plant could be a better chance of not having seeds ?

It is possible. Go ahead and let her/him finish up. the fact you have buds and resin is good. Maybe you'll end up with some good mid grades. If the bud is good thc and taste, I'd start germing them seeds and do a grow of about 10 of them and hope for a couple of females.

You got to be on lookout for sex after first week of 12/12

I have a 30x Triplett loupe on the way just for that and pest identification. And of course to stare at Trichs.

I kept a close eye when they started showing there sex because I had 4 total and as soon as the males showed sex I pulled them out , and only had the 1 female so I thought ! And yes they are VERY pretty buds on it with lots of resin already ! That's what's fuckin with my head is that you can't tell by looking at it that its a hermie at all ! Its crazy !
