I have had for ages some seeds that someone gave me out of some of there bird seed, (have about 50,) so anyway i never thought they would grow cos i thought they where treated first before made into bird seed so they couldn't, well that's what i was told anyway. I decide to try germanating a few of them put about 10 seeds in sum damp cotton wool and wrapped them in clean film. Then i forgot about them! They have been sat in a draw for the last 5 days, i remembered about them eariler and 1 had tap roots! I couldn't believe it never expected anything to happen really was a bit of an experment. Since i forgot about them the roots hav grow about 4cm long opps. So i have now potted it up and put in my cab to see wot happens, bit curious to see if it will grow! Just thought i'd share that bit of info lol. Pic of the germanated seed below.

Isn't hemp a bit different than weed?Good for rope and oil but not much else is what iv'e always heard but I could be wrong it has happened before lol!

Hemp is cannabis and cannabis is weed. Hemp plant have very very low thc. So think of hempp as a strain of cannabis that you dont want to grow, unless you are making a canvas. :mrgreen:

Hemp IS marijuana. The word marijuana is a crude use of a mexican word for MJ. Hemp is actually what it is called and we call it MJ b/c the government wanted to make a bad name for it! I mean hell why would they want you to hate the same thing that i believe the bill of rights was written? It started to become to food of a cash crop and veola they change the name and say its the devil!

I think when using it for paper, cloth, etc. you just harvest it at a different tmie in its life cycle. But at anytime you should be able to harvest the stalk for paper and clothes. Its a woody plant that produces the ame amount of paper as 4 acres of trees in just one acre.

Weed is the shit! And hemp seeds are one of the healthiest nute. supplements you can take! the sell hemp powder by the lb. Our gov. is ignorant.

The hemp seeds in american birdseed are sterilized according to law.

Bird seed grows stuff all the time, look below your bird feeder.

There are 3 species of cannabis, Sativa, Indica, and Ruderalis. Sativa is acually used for industrial hemp production as ruderalis, which I was always thought was used for hemp, is a south eastern european ditchweed. Indica is another species with poor fiber for hemp making.

The cannabis sativa used in industial hemp production is acually a seperate sub species of Cannabis Sativa with no or negligable THC content. As Cannabis Sativa in hemp fields is used for fiber, not buds, They are grown in very tight rows and really never produce buds that You
could sell to dumb kids :(

It very well might be possible, but you wont know if its the high or oxygen depletion from breathing in burning industrial waste. Seeing as both are illegal here in the USA might just as well grow something nuggilicious

Edit: The EU caps THC in hemp at .3% and says that that amount cannot get you intoxicated even from smoking large amounts.
