I never understood autos, what's the point outside of Siberia?

I grew outside from 1974 into the 21st century. When I decided to move inside (only to grow a higher quality product), I called a breeder and asked for autos. Only because it seemed similar to outdoors as far as no timers.

The breeder explained the ruderalis part, toId me it's idiotic to be afraid of timers, and said if I want to grow better weed than I grew outside, stick to photos. "But I have autos because some people absolutely insist." That was 10 yrs. ago.
Still never grew an auto seed. Always appreciated that breeder's straight forwardness about them.

I hear they got better. So have photos.

indoor is a 25x25x7.5 building .........my cool tubes can not work here the RH gets to 95% at night (some nights we are in fog banks as 944ft above sealvl) ......so it set up using some 1000w open hoods and some 4 ft t5s (spring time use a vent system 3000cfm from green house...summer fall winter 24k mini split great deal 1100 bucks)

that was even a good run the plants well my auto feed was way to much and they grow to the ceiling we did not account for the stretch factor on the strains with the feed

Your partner won't let you post pics? Lame. How would they even know? Because you let them know your avi on RIU? Why would you do that? Kinda defeats the anonymity aspect. You can't claim a 40 pound grow without pics and not have members call bullshit. Well, you can't, anyway. It's one thing to mistakenly overgrow a single dwc auto, quite another matter to successfully tend to 30 pound + huge photo plants. Pics or it didn't happen...

I grow Heavy Duty Fruity perpetually. I got really lucky and found a winning pheno out of only 13 seeds, so I had to keep moms of her. It really does smell like Juicy Fruit, but mine is minus the airplane fuel odor ;) Fun and easy plant to grow...

He is hard to take seriously, he claims trees the size of @doublejj indoors.. but has never shown proof of his claim. He’s a funny dude but jj trees indoors? idk bout that. I like to take people for their word, cuz I’m not a bullshitter but I know many are.. seems a lil sketchy to me..

I’d smoke that.. I’m just basing my opinion off my one grow with them, complete garbage mine were, I know I’m a newer grower but my photos that were ran with them did ok. 20oz off one auto? Seems far fetched to me. Again I’m no expert but seems a long veg would be needed to achieve that. But then again people in the Bodhi thread claim 40ish day flowering times which to me is insane. Mine are mostly double that.. so I guess anything is possible.

There are tricks to make autos veg longer. That and the new ones are bigger now. Used to they would be done in 60 days and be little. The newer ones go 100+ days.

@justugh you have a good problem. Helicopters got everything of mine this year. Fuckers even came back to get my last two plants.

I'll tell you how to take care of that. There's a ghetto carbon scrubber tutorial in the DIY section using a square box fan. Build one of those. But use the RIGHT carbon.
Look in the aquarium section (Petsmart) for API brand Ammo Carb. It's chunky carbon that looks like small black and white rough pebbles. It's used for high ammonia content aquariums. Aquatic turtles etc. I can't speak for other brands but I know from first hand experience that the API carbon + box fan works extremely well for harvesting. It's strong enough to kill the smell in a 12x15 room that they're drying in. Then just store the carbon somewhere safe until next time around.
It also works in a pinch if you're having probs with your main scrubber.

If you spend a bit more, you can get medical grade carbon flakes that can take many times as much shit out of the air before it is spend.

Yea. I could. I have a couple of boxes of carbon. The good stuff. I rebuild my filters. The ipower ones are so cheap now its not worth the time to build one. Run it until the carbon needs replacing.

You can even bake your carbon in the oven. I've heard people say you can't do it. I have and know for a fact it works. Had the cops show up because of something that happened at the neighbors house. The were standing like 50 foot from my exhaust.

They are Easy to build though and I have built a few of them. Thank you for the info.
