i built a secret grow room, the series.

i have built a secret grow room 3.3m L x 2.1m W x 2.1m H, i built it inside a bedroom 4m x 3m x 2.5m using 50x50mm rough timber and 12.5mm plasterboard inside and out 50mm airgap and hundreds of 70mm screws i have just laid 2 layers of the plasterboard on the floor over the carpet it took 30 sheets of 2400 x 1200 plasterboard to finish it, and i have sealed every single joint and screwhole on the inside with silicon sealant, i built a door from 18mm thick mdf (2 layers) and 12.5mm plasterboard as middle layer and taped outside edge with 50mm alu tape to seal it, i raised the frame where the door sits 200mm above the floor so now i have an opening 520mm wide and 1.7m high and door 600mm x 1780mm high i sealed the entire room with megalux black/white and alu foil tape,and the floor with thick black visqueen plastic damp proofing and sealed it to the walls, i fitted the door with 4 hinges as it weighs a ton, and i fitted a 15m x 9mm x 6mm weather seal all round the door and tripled it side by side so it is 18mm wide about 20 mm in, the door overlaps the door opening by 40mm all round and when i close it with music playing outside the soundblock is amazing, the door is similar to that of a ship but normal shape, i fitted 3 bathroom locks top middle bottom for a perfect airtight seal, when i ran my 200mm inlet fan on full power with door closed for a minute i had to push very hard to open the door because of the positive pressure and there was an outrush of cold wind and a large whooshing sound that blew my hair and it felt really weird, as the room is totally sealed with gas proof plastic and tape, if it had a large water leak it would have to rise the entire floor surface 200mm before it could leak over the bottom door frame through the weathertight seal, that is over 1200 litres, i am going to post some pictures tomorrow night i took last week just before i cleaned and laid the floor and plastic. and i will keep you posted with pictures of it week by week. starting tomorrow night. and later i will show you my secret power supply to run it. it may not be secret any more to you lot but at least you wont know where it is. and if anyone thinks i am bullshitting wait till tomorrow night.i was gonna keep it top secret but after finding the post, OMG i found a secret room in my house and leaving a couple of really funny comments at #392 and #393 and laughed myself sore i thought what the hell.

ok here is some pics the place is in a mess as it is still under construction and i have been working for weeks and weeks on it on my own, do you know how hard it is to get 30 sheets of 8 x 4 plasterboard upstairs, i am going to remove the crap 8" flexible ducting as i got the accoustic padded stuff, the accoustic box i built from 18mm mdf around the 8" inlet fan can be seen, and if you look between the walls down the side this is about an 18 inch gap so i can walk around the room and maintain the window and fly screens and curtains, where the ducting enters the wall at the back there is a sealed window box over the window that the fan uses to suck fresh air in straight from outside, i will show you this later. all the wiring, ballasts, etc, will run around the outside, the white wire hanging in the middle of the room is the connection for the exhaust fan to be fitted to, i have a green light clock just in case i want to enter during the dark period the green flourescent bulb can be seen running around the clock face, if you look at picture bottom left you will see the raised door frame 200mm above the floor..

no i have ended the thread before the room is complete. i apologise, but to build a hidden grow room takes a lot of money and dedicated hard work, i have to buy all the materials for the room, and all the equipment for the grow, i have also got another 3 rooms to build and one is 15" x 15" and i wont have time to document it.

Well I think this deserves a rant on my part. Due to the fact that you led the other members and myself on by starting this thread, making us think that you would be documenting a secret grow room from start to finish. So now you basically owe it to us to finish this thread and the grow. blah blah blah....sound familiar? Yes, that's exactly what you did on neosapian's thread.
