I always get mixed answers on this, what is the truth?

It would be hard for me as a dabber to see any irregular bubbles due to the fact that I run my nail a lot hotter then 300F, which I'm guessing is around THC's Boiling Point. Plus i know the stuff i dab is fully purged. 50+hours in the chamber.

Not sure I understand your point. Could you elaborate?

We are agreed that solvent residue is a negative, and that hash oil does melt, but oil also bubbles from decarboxylation, which occurs as a function of losing water and CO2.

I personally run my email above 100C/212F, so the water leaving is a given, thus water vapor and CO2 bubbles are ostensibly to be expected. Are you running yours below 100C/212F?

Well below if vacuum purged. More like 140F and -26Hg. The moisture content is <15%. Residues are from ethanol only and is added once fully purged so that water content is the only remaining residuals left. It leads for a sweeter tasting extract. Did you ever come to Cali? I never got your call.

decarboxylation happens prior to extraction so that the cbd isn't exposed to its melting point degrading those desired compounds of interest. That's why 140F is the temp I choose. So my melting point apparatus then melts at about 148F and is spilled, so the next mp is 151-153F w very little crossover and high percentage cbd is possible. 50% or better is the goal.

I live in so cal

The first picture was propane and the dark extract was hit w n-butane after propane, but was convinced the n-butane was dirtier than the first extract of propane and it purges quicker than butane too. Spills or splashes burn way worse than the frostbite of butane. So one needs special care dispensing it into a sealed vessels is a must, the use of co2 is a god send, but to elevate the pressure hpa can benefit the yields, these are just the first experiments w propane as a suitable co-solvents in a while, highly recommended.

looks like theres a lot of plant matter in them.

Have you tried natural light to bring out the highlights of your extract?

Last I checked he works in the dark for fear of UV degradation. :/
