Thanks..organics is the way. I was at my buddies. who has 3 rooms. total of 14 1000's all chemy hydro.. buds were big. All bleached, deficiencies up the ass. I said too bad you don't grow organically. You wouldn't have these problems. Oh did he get pissed. He is always condescending... He cant hold a candle to my quality.. The strains others have taken off some more and the squaty ones are still small. Will see once in flower provided their all female . I popped 20 seeds so there should be enough thats female. The sound of me walking over the tarp, musical shuffle,lol...

clover works great as a companion crop. I had them indoor but they died off.. I may try bahia grass next time. I still have alot of clover seeds left.

Hi hy, I'm starting to think dead worm bin clover is better than living mulch clover. I have an abundance of living mulch, and I don't see any 'n fixing'. 6-7 weeks I'm getting some serious fade, with nice green clovers. Maybe I'm not understanding the nitrogen fixing. I don't need living mulch roots for microbes, as my 1" moist EWC topdress covers that.

you probably have phos defs not nitrogen.. I saw N fixing right away, within a week.
 
don't you love when you get home and have a ton of garden work to do. Just rest for a few min. Then wake up 6 hours later and its just after midnite. Work time, arghhh I don't want to set up the other veg room right now.... then do more transplants. I have to clean said room top to bottom first too..... I need an unpaid intern / apprentice.. I forgot I have to go to home depot or the hydro shop and get saucers and soft ties.....
I was also supposed to go to a bbq at a buddies earlier tonight too. oh well. turkey sammy's for late dinner
 
I was comparing 2 cheese og Christmas tree style plants to each other and 2 cheese berry to each other. Now this may be a coincidence, the plants that are mounded have larger buds and has much more trichomes than plants not mounded. All plants have been fed the same and rotated at least every other day... Thoughts...?

I water by hand using a party cup. I give a gallon to each 7 gal rols pot. Water with compost teas, sst's, plain water. I topdressed each with 1/2 cup dte vegan mix, 1/2 cup kelp meal, 2 cups rock dust, 2 tbsp neem meal. 1 inch layer of worm castings. Post pics shortly.

Hey hyroot, just noticed this, good stuff.

I would like to ask if I may, at what stage of the grow did you mound?

I usually leave an inch or two space at the top of the pots/grow bags.

What am I missing out on?
 
What I meant was how do you keep the water from rolling off the side of the mounding when you water?

This is the first time I've tried mounding. It makes for more room for roots and I guess more oxygen too. The stalk grows larger with mounding. So that might equate for larger buds. The trichome development. I don't know if that has anything to do with the mounding.. It makes watering easier too , even with fabric pots. if trichomes equate to more efficient nutrient movement in the stalk. Then that could explain more trichomes..

it actually makes it roll off the side less.. Water the mound part first then water flows down the sides of the mound saturating part of the moat at the same time. Then when you go to water the moat part, its already saturated, The soil tends to soak up the water more at that point rather than run off. very little goes out the sides. What ever does go out, the plant soaks back up with in 10 min. that's with fabric pots.
