Late to the party here hyroot, great thread (what I have read thus far, working my way back). Can you point me in the right direction for more info on your grow method/medium? It looks very interesting to me. I'm a newb, doing soil & dwc on my first grow to compare..........

Thanks

Sweet. I'd love that strain. I had the f1 breeder steve version back in the day.

Is it that or the f2 bodhi version. Both are same gentics. Just bodhi f2'd breeder steves version. Breeder steve is spice of life seeds.
Spice of life from a collector in the springs :)

I'm the first one on this forum to start using sips. My soil method is in the sticky thread in the organuc section ROLS NO TILL thread . At the top of the page.

Sip's are basically mimicking nature creating a water table beneath the soil surface. The plants bottom feed water like in nature. And adding an air stone creates a dwc reservoir while running organic soil at the same time.

Thanks very much I will look for the sticky on the soil. I am doing DWC right now for my first ever run and organic soil for a couple of girls as well. I will look up more info on the SIP's as this seems to be like something I can get behind long term. I am running a bubble bucket (5 gal) with an air stone.........

So... I wantested to upgrade from 5 gals to 7-10s, but I know the diameters won't fit (small timer ;) ) I've been thinking about building a miniature bed that fits perfectly inside the sq ft to give me as much soil/root zone as I can get.

Got it all figured out. Easy shit. But my question for you is (bare with me if you have already I haven't gone back in the pages to look) can you provide pictures of the sips design? Maybe I could implement a similar res, bottom feed is very appealing. If I can't, blumats have been good to me

I'm about start going back in the thread if you know a page lemme know

Hey Hyroot have you seen these? http://www.octopot.com/ . Was wondering if they could be made into a self contained SIP?

octopots are a sip,, they just dont u se an airstone and airpump,, someguy is making octopot clones, but I think his are even better, a bigger res too, you can make your own octopot clone for much cheaper than buying one,, but they do produce big plants,, captmorgan using them with great success

Hy,

Any thoughts on those purple petioles? I know that there are several theories. I had purple petioles in so many consecutive grows, but no prob with yield or quality. On this current run not a single purple petiole in site. I did use a slightly different soil mix this run.

In past runs under a couple different fert regimes, repeat strains and same lights always purple. Im curious to see if the buds this run are different than in runs past. Ive run sugar punch many times so I have a decent anecdotal reference point.

This is Sin Mint Cookies, 15 gal fabric, IAL nutes, bright green petioles.
