massive hype. I have a friend into leds. He goes directly thru bysen led and always negotiate prices by emailing them. http://www.bsled.com/ he has 9 helios (12 module) in a flower room. The reason I say hype is because for the price/actual wattage draw factor LEDs will never come close to what they say its "equivalent to." The reason they work for him is because he did not go by the equivalent factor. He uses almost 4000 watts of actual led lighting in a 11x12 room giving him yields that compare to mine per same wattage. Running same strain his final product is slightly better looking (imo) than mine. I just cant bring myself to pay what he did to setup a room that size. ( $6300+ delivered ). They also carry lights that run those 75-150 led square chip looking modules as you have shown. Before he purchased the helios he had bought each of their smaller units for comparison run. The helios were on a whole other level. He had been waiting on the chloraba line to try out but a company rep stated they pulled them off the market due to cost of manufacturing to performance factor. Running such high wattage of led also creates quite a bit of heat. In comparison the amount of heat his 9 leds create is almost the same as ( 4 ) 1000 watt hids being vented out while the leds can not be vented

Yes, they are all chinese ripoffs. While in not familiar with phillips besides them being a dutch company, I bet they source factories in China to build their chips for mass production. These same factories than steal the technology and rebrand it. All I can say from bysen is that after a dozen units shipped to him, the build quality was good and hes only had one module fail, that they quickly shipped to him and he was able to easily repair in minutes. This is a big plus. he was looking at quality to cost factor. I understand their could be a better led light, but why pay double or more for something that is only 10-15% better/// Im not saying trust any chinese factory, they are not all the same and most are actually horrible. Also chip isnt everything, Lens matter just as much

Compare spec sheets for epi LEDs and Phillips luxeon rebels and you will see why the price difference. The lens they have is probably one of the best best around and also has a legit IR led in the centre vs epi lying bullcrap IR... I I would wait until more people do grows with the holographic series before dropping that coin on it but I wouldn't doubt quality of the GN unit especially compared to bysen or cidly or any other Chinese company
