Hydroponics hut Pro grow X5

Anyone use this model before? It looks promising. I planed on getting a black dog BD700-U (4.5 x 4.5 foot print) but they want $1700 just for the light.:o I done some research and I found out that I could get a 5X5 gorilla grow tent and (2) Pro grow X5 lights for a couple of hundred dollars more. That seems like the way to go but I can't seem to find a veg or flowering foot print any where. It does use 5 watt diodes so it should have great penetration. Selective switch (veg - bloom). Can these lights produce hash tips? Any and all info on the Pro grow X5 would be excellent and I hope to hear from someone that's got this model of LED. I found some videos on youtube about the X5 but there is never any info on the light it's self. Just people repeating that the light does good. Hydroponics hut Pro Grow X5 LED grow panel looks like a great light for the money. Any info?

Don't waste your time and money with them. They lie about parts. Way over charge. Do not hold up their warranty. If you want 5 watt leds. Check area51lighting. California light works, black dog led, and LG led.

^ not light. "lights" .. to cover that area with efficiency, you need multiple panels..

think do you want one big ball in the center, or smaller balls spread out.. what's more efficient. the bigger ball you need to raise very high to reach corners, which will never get the intensity the middle does. having multiple panels allows to have more even coverage as possible, and keeping the light lower.

your looking for panels that do 3x3 area, or 2x2 to 2.5x2.5.. you need 4 of them. so keep that in mind when finding panels to work with, break down your tent into "smaller blocks".

Very nice Dawg! It looks like a must. I've decided to go with a 4X4 tent and have just one light that covers a 4x4 flowering foot print. instead of buying four 2.5 flowering foot print lights for a 5X5 area. It seems a lot smarter and I should save around $1000 bucks! So now comes the big choice between the three lights I have narrowed it down to. Drum roll please.......... #1. The Black dog BD700-U, 240 5W LEDs. with black dogs proprietary Phyto-genesis Spectrum. #2. California light works solar storm 800W, 160 5W LEDs. with 2 18 inch T8 UVB bulbs. #3 Area 51 A- 600. I'm looking for the best light for yield and potency. I'm talking mega hash tips!:spew: I really don't care which one is quieter. With the Black dog I get 80 more 5W LEDs over the solar storm but that just the math. What would you guys vote on. The polls are open!

Go area 51. That's the best. Their af600. Green Santa has a bunch of them. Gets dankn big yields. Then the a51 sgs dawg uses and it kicks Ass too. Has 3w and 5w led's but 160w. So it would take 3 or 4 of them. A51 also has the best warranty.

Stay far away from hydroponics hut. Ordered 3 PG400x's, and two of them had completely different internal structure, and one was packed with white LED's. Upon asking the company why this was, they refused to give me a reason and told me they required all of the lights be sent back. I was furious, fucked up my grow.

I have a ProGrow 400 selective switch that has not caused a single problem in 3 solid years of use. I'm not sure about other post challenging their quality of parts and their backing of warranties. I have nothing to really compare it to but it seems to have given me some great plants. I plan on upgrading to another Hydroponics Hut light in the near future, probably an x5-600, just my 2 cents

$800 for (guessing, since they don't actually say) 350 watts of LED is a bit more than 2 cents.

Why did you dig up a 3 year old thread to share this nonsense?

Complete garbage. I own the X5-500. Yielded me 11 oz. less then my Amare SE-450 in a side by side grow.
See my first thread. It tells how terrible the Hydroponics Hut is as well as how shitty of a company they are.
Terrible
