Hydroponic questions

High everyone, It has been a while but I finally got everything to get started and I have a couple of questions. I received my unit the other day and with it came 3 bottles of nutrients from General Hydroponics but I don't think it is the right formula for my growing needs the 1st is floragro 2-1-6 2.0 (N), (0.25 ammoniacal nitrogen & 1.75% Nitrate nitrogen) Available phosphate (p2o5) 1.0 soluble potash (k2o) 6.0 & magnesium (mg) 0.5 (0.5% soluble magnesium (mg). I know that this isn't the right formula but will it work until I get better nutes. The nutes that I am looking to order is from ecogarden systems and are budswell liquid 1 gal. and supertea liquid 1 gal.. these 2 products are derived from guano. The next question will not be so long as far as pest control goes I am looking at prozap insect guard and houseplant sticky strips. I have been told that a squirt bottle with a few drops of dawn dish soap and spraying plants with solution will eliminate spider mites I also read that you can use a few cigarette butts in a quart of water setting for 24 hrs and spray plants with it and supposedly will kill the pests. I am also interested in something that will control fungus so any types on this will be appreciated. I am really getting limited on funds because I have invested quite a bit in this so I am just getting the PH test kit and for a ppm meter I am getting a reverse osmosis inline tds meter. I will start my germination today and as soon as I get along a couple of weeks I will send pics. I fogot to add the other 2 bottles sorry they are flora micro 5-0-1 Nitrogen 5.0, soluble pot ash (k2o) 1.0 Calcium (ca) 5.0 cobalt (co) 0.0005 soluble iron (fe) 0.1 manganese (mn) 0.05 molybdenum (mo) 0.0008 The 3rd bottle is florabloom 0-5-4 Phosphate (p2o5) 5.0 soluble potash (k2o) 4.0 Magnesium (mg) 1.5 and combined sulfur (s) 1.0. I have also read to use ebsoms salt but how much do you use. Sorry so long but I wasn't sure how much info. you needed any help will be greatly appreciated so burn one for me DUGOUT

those nutes will be fine until you get what you want.....

I don't think i would spray my plants with water that had cig butts chilling in it, thats just nasty, and i smoke. think about what's in cigs, do you really want that shit sitting on your buds?

High all dugout here. I have 3 plants in buckets that have holes in the bottom with a layer of rock and miracle gro which I have been told not to use. My plants are 2' tall or a little taller they have just started flowering I have switched from haylide to lumalux bulb. My question is can I take them from the soil and transplant them into a hydro unit because all I have is liquid nutes which I have been mixing one tblspn per gallon of water and watering the soil there is not nitrogen in the nutes I do have a mix that is 2 in nutes. I also have the nute mixture in a spray bottle that I mist the girls with. How do I do this without messing up the root system or the plant any input would be greatly appreciated I don't know if I have waited to long so burn one for me the old hippy dugout

Kinda big, but you can do it.

remove from pot, dunk the root ball in a bucket of water till the dirt is gone, need some rinsing too, pot it up in you net pots and hydrotron or whatever.

I have transplanted from soil to hydro 13/13 times now with no kills just do what Tetrahyc said, rinse the soil all off put it in your net pot fill up with hydroton (my preference) and you are done. The key is to do it GENTLY

Hey Thanks guys but does it matter if they are so big and should I wait a couple of days before giving them Nutes. All I have is a square 5 gal. bucket with clay pellets and a drip system any suggestions My plants are about 2 months old. Once again thanks guys and burn one for me the old hippy DUGOUT

High all just thought I would let you know how things were going. I picked some seeds out of a bag that I had that wasn't to bad a smoke nothing great but it was ok. I had lost 5 of my really good seeds trying to figure out how to do this unfortunately I lost all four do to over nuting so I started using the other seeds to figure it out. Well I got 3 of them to grow using miracle grow potting soil was told this is not a good idea. I got one female out of the 3 which I am very pleased with due to seeds being unknown. I transplanted my plant and I thought it was going to die it looke really bad last night but it seems to be coming back I figured it was in shock and would come back and it seems to be doing that although some of the leaves has really yellowed I was wondering if this is a problem. I have them in my unit with 1 tblspn of budgrow Guana of bat seagull and worm guana this should be a very week solution and will bump it up after the plant has fully came back then I will do some more pruning trying to get my plant to bush it is about 2 and 1/2 feet high. Seemed I was having trouble with the nutes and hopefully this will eleviate the problem. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. This is a great hobby a little expensive but I have the initial big cost out of the way. I have gallons of good fertilizer and a good place to do this. I don't have a vent or temperature control but things seem to be doing fine with just a fan. Thanks for all the help folks and hope to hear from you soon. Burn one for me. THE OLD HIPPY DUGOUT

High all Dugout here. I messed up win I transfered from soil to Hydro unit a lot of my leaves died and some of the buds on top that were just getting started look like they got burnt. Well she is making somewhat of a come back I have several buds that are starting. I think part of my problem was it was getting to hot in my closet and so I opened the bedroom door to let air conditioning in the room were closet is I believe between the fan in the closet and the air going into the room. I am afraid with my learning experience that I have ruined her tho. I know have a very good idea of all the things I did wrong and as soon as this plant is done I am starting with my good plants.
