Hydroponic Nutes: Organic or not

Hello! I am in my first week of growing. Started from seed. My room is ready to go with a home built Aeroponic system suitable for 8 plants right now. My seeds have sprouted and are about 1.5 inches tall. I have purchased the small size of General Hydroponics Flora series for my nutes, but a good friend of mine uses Organic Nutes and he strongly suggests I use them because of the taste of the bud overall. However, they are much more expensive. Any ideas or suggestions on the nutes I put in my system, whether it is Organic or GH flora series or if you know of something even better than those two I'm very interested.

Techniflora has a complete kit that I use. It has all cycles from root to veg to bloom to harvest. Expensive but worth it.

Use what you have in my opinion. I doubt anyone could really tell the difference between the bud if you put them up against eachother. Just make sure you flush as per the directions.

I like Dyna-Gro (Grow/Bloom + Tekt) more then GH flora. Pretty inexpensive too, for proper hydro nutes.

Honestly, all you need to grow dank weed is the Grow, it's all the nutrition plants require in one bottle! ;-)

Until you learn the in's and out's just stick with what you got for now. When it comes to nutes, sometimes it's in the prefernce rather than the preformance. I use a combination of different products, but again its my preference.

Organics vs Syntheics...Yield is the largest difference. Side by Side, the Sytheically feed plant will produce more than an Organicly feed plant. Yes you can get a more "earthy taste" out of organics, but you can also get great taste from sythetics with proper flushing.

I'm switching to organics and i'm going to use the GH line general organics. I'm willing to change my entier produciton to it, i'm goin to use it a round or two and make sure that I'm happy with it beforei commit to it

Thank you so much. I'm hoping to get some pics up here pretty soon. I had a small problem with the sides of my tub having a white coating underneath the water. I'm sorry I don't have a picture of it because I dumped it out right away. Without a picture does that sound like a problem with my nutes reacting or why would there be this white coating under the water? When I dumped the water, the white coating was gone>? I will photograph my issues from now on lol. Anyways, thanks so much for the ideas on Nutes and I will just continue with my GH line for now since this is my first grow and keeping it simple is key for me.

This is great information! Thank you so much. Let me know how you like the General Organics product if you don't mind. That was the organic line I was looking at but since I have the GH Flora Series, it doesn't much make sense for a Newbie to be playing with organics and such yet.

Well I've heard good things about the GH line, I think most of the guys at the shop I buy my gear at uses GH. I'm actually using Cutting Edge Solutions (which is owned by GH) for my base fertz.

The next thing to look into is additives, I use some stuff called "Bud XL" by House and Garden and what it does is pulls the sugars from the leaf and stems to the bud sites; some stuff called "Fish-Mix" anything fish is great for your plants and it usually an organic option!; next is stuff called "Roots Excelurator" also by H&G is probably one of the best "roots" additive on the market, in my eys, i use this to enahnce root growth...more roots more fruits!; also this stuff "Top Booster" which you only once one week in the flowering period but what it does is during the 4-5th week the bud production rate drops dramsticly and when you add this product basicly creates like a "Round 2" of bud devolpment...very nice stuff...my buds had buds (check out my album).....and for my bloom booster i use Mother Of All Blooms...by Mad Farmer......

So as you see i've got some variety, but this is basically what i started with except for the Top booster and i had a different booster when i started, but that less than a year ago since my first crop, so I'm still kind of a newbie as well....and by learning what products are out there and what they do you can custom fit your nute to fit your growing needs. All strains grow differnetly and it takes some fine tunning get everything perfect, but i've used this stuff with 10+ strains and gotten above average results everytime.......Thats why its so hard for me to jump ship to a new product, this works!
