I do mine for about 12 days, the first 4 days i use final phase from advanced nutrients and after that only ph'd water. Change your res out, is the way to go about it.

I empty all my nutes then refill res with PH balanced water. I also turn my lights to 10/14 to kick start the plant into finishing up mode. You might notice a growth spurt during this period (I did) Just keep flushing and harvest when ready :weed:

Not sure if whoever rep'd me wanted to be anonymous but if you dont put your name in the comment box no one will ever know. Thanks all the same!! :-)

i dont flush for two weeks at all...

i barely flush for a week....

the last week prior to harvest i use a 1/4 strength nute app... this is because the flowers are still growing and need energy.. more than what is stored in the plant... this forces the plant to use what nutes/energy is available (stored) in it but also gives it a little extra to make sure things keep going... then the last 2 or 3 days i run ph'd water with florakleen in it..

this seems to work well for me... just my routine..

I havent but I imagine there would be a harsh taste left in the bud from all the unused nutes still in there.

LOL by the way I love the term yall. I use it and people look at me funny. You from the south?

i have gradually since i started growing cut down and modified how i flush..

when i first started in dirt i did 2 week full flushes with just water...

i did some reading.... then tried 1 week with 1/2 strength nutes, the next week water... was the same as the 2 week full flush... however i noticed an increase in growth over those 2 weeks.. a significant growth increase..

cut back from 1/2 to 1/4 strength... same results.. same growth....

cut back from 2 weeks to 10 days... 3 with nutes... 7 day plain water flush... same results still...

cut back to 7 days or less.. found that growth was huge the last 4 or 5 days as it gets closer to ending its life cycle.. i think its a "final swell" trying to get pollinated.. so i would run 1/4 strength nutes for 2 days, flush for 5... then it went to 3 days nutes, 4 day water flush... until i got to where i am now...

it seems to work good for both soil and hydro... the last 5 days, give her 1/4 strenght, then a 2 day solid flush with florakleen or another flushing agent...

if you are doing soil tho, try to flush the soil until it has the lowest possible ppm using the flushing agent (or water.. whichever makes you happy) so that there is nothing or almost nothing left in the soil...

canna nutes are meant for coco coir... but can be used with anything...

coco coir can hold a lot of salts in it....

they recommend it to keep the coco coir clean of salts... its easy and quick tho..

i would assume that it still has something to do with salt build up sword... not much other reason to flush other than to remove salts... i dont know tho.. havent used them so i cant really say..

simpson you don't get any taste with only two days of flushing with florakleen? i have a crop that is about 50 days in and will be flushing in a couple weeks and would like to only flush for 2 days if it doesn't kill the taste of the bud. link in my sig.

I've used Final Phase from Advanced Nutrients. Works for me.

It's pretty easy. So many people waste their money pumping fertilizers into the plants in the last week and a half and it does absolutely squat.

I've done a 6 hour recirc with Final Phase cleanse right at the end and then I just feed the plants water until it's harvest time.

it's actually pretty easy and it really does make a different in taste, i think.

this is kinda off subject too. how do u guys decide when u are gonna start the flushing process? i mean lets say u are lookin for a couch lock type of a high which has mainly amber crystals, do you wait till it has a majority of amber or do you start flushing when it has more milky trichomes and try to anticipate that it will be done in two weeks?
