Look I understand its complex and that I should start with soil however I really want to skip this step.
I have done my homework on it very well and live pretty close to a hydroponic store to ask all questions.
Along with that i have this forum for support and probably will create a journal.
That all being said would you guys still recommend starting with soil or can I start with a DWC system?
Has any of you started with hydroponic (DWC) single bucket and been successful?

you are trying to avoid hempy buckets.......what is it you don't like about them?
its seems like more of a hassle because of the drainage(runoff)...i rather change the water once a week, i also do not want to hand water the plant every couple of days. DWC just seems the more legit way!

DWC is an excellent way to begin! My first grow was awesome. One word of advice... dial your room in before you start and you should be okay. 1388667271517.jpg

BTW... when your plants get large they will drink gallons of H20 per day and instead of watering every couple of days you will be constantly topping your buckets off everyday.

I'm gonna be using RDWC (R as in recirculating) two 5 gal. buckets with a res. More nute volume =less ph and temp variation. The nutrient and water usage in a single bucket require constant monitoring.

There's not much runoff really only at first....then the water roots reach the rez you should have a good measure and hit the mark with minimal runoff.....water change seems like more work plus if your grow goes well you'll be topping off the dwc bucket daily.....plus you don't have to plug a hempy into an outlet......merely a suggestion, take it or leave it

If you have a basic understanding of chemistry and water hydro is the way to go

That said, hydro can be basic or advanced. come by my thread for some advanced ideas
