don't use it if you are planning on utilizing beneficial bacterias/fungus in your medium. I use it as a foliar off and on throughout the entire cycle as a sort of disinfectant. If you are using typical store-brand stuff use one drop per 100ml water. Happy trails.hi guys been doing some reading and came across a few topics on using hydrogen peroxide and the water when growing, was wondering if anybody has tried this method and if they would recommend using with hydroponics grow?
thanks.
The peroxide can improve overall plant health, which could increase yeild quality/quantity (healthy plants do better than unhealthy ones afterall) IMO...so dont use think it would produce and better yield with making more oxygen available to the roots?
Agreed, I use it and it helps considerably. I get thicker stalks and it helps a lot.Oxygenating your reservoir is one benefit of H2O2 but it won't make a big difference in your yields. The main reason for using it is to disinfect your reservoir. Go to your local hydro store and get the commercial grade stuff that's 33-35% H2O2 and use it at a rate of 2-5ml per gallon to disinfect and kill algae and pathogens.
It might temporarily mess with your pH so don't use it less than 30 mins before the first feeding. It will bubble so if you have continuous measuring meters you'll want to shake em to get the bubbles out and get correct readings.
Personally, I think the stuff is great, especially if you're res is warmer than it should be.
