Hydrogen peroxide Q

Hi, can i get a quick answer on how much hydrogen peroxide to put in my NFT tank as a flush? I can only get medical grade 3% stuff from the pharmacy.

I have just put my first tank of feed in 200 Liters and in 24 hours i have foam & cloudy look to the reservoir... and the ph has gone up from 5.5 to 7.4 in a day.

This isn't my first time doing NFT..
But it my first time using powdered amino acids ( got referred to it..) it's the only thing that is new to me so im hoping this is the cause... but just incase its something else i want to flush it with hydrogen peroxide.

Currently doing a plain water flush as i write this.

My tap water ppm is 26 & ph 6.4

Any recommendations welcome to what may have caused this... there is no light getting into the system at all.

The recommended is 1ml per ltr daily or 2ml per ltr occasionally (12%)

Check ebay you can buy 5ltr peroxide 12% for £12/15 or $20 ±

Yoz should have 2_3 ppms of it.and use it ever 3 days because it evaporates.


It would be cheaper to buy some poolshock.its dry lasts longer and cheap as fuck

Good call, that's for a preventative measure.
I'm not sure about the ratios for a fix?

@amneziaHaze Makes a good point, I do keep hydrogen peroxide around mostly for seeds and sterilising coco but its chlorine I use in my nutrient.
