Hydro Sucks Soil Rules

Even in hightimes I read that all the weed grown for the cannabis cup is grown in soil. Soil kicks ass. I have a dig ph tester so I feed my plants 6.2-6.3 ph water every watering.
PH 5.5-5.75 Aeroponics
5.75-6.5 hydro
6.5-7 soil

I will agree that I have seen growers do very well with soil. But Hydro provides 30% more O2 uptake to the roots. Aeroponics delivers a whopping 99% O2 to the roots. Here is the diffrence though. Soil is more forgiving. It is harder to grow say Aeroponicly. Alot harder, so if you don't know exactly what you are doing you will have less sucess. Right now I am creating an advanced Aeroponics DVD from conception to curing. I have months worth of work ahead of me, just to describe what I know. I could produce the same video with soil in weeks (if I had a documented grow). High Times is a good source for basic information that has been repeated over and over again through the years. At some point you will move on to a more advaced sub-culture.

Another HUGE adantage of Hydro/Aero is for every one soil plant you grow, you can grow 12 Aero, faster and better quality. It is what it is:blsmoke:

Could you provide a reference to finding more information on Aero growing? I'd be quite interested in reading about it.

I have never grown in soil and never will yeah it is a bit of work but that is the fun part you are actually raising your baby. I visit every day 2 or 3 times a day just to see what is up with her. lol This is my first grow and form the pics that i have posted and seen hydro is the way to go my plant is 1 month old and 18" tall with all kinds of preflowers all over her. Soon she will be getting her 12/12 light. And on the other hand i have seen people who have grown in soil with there plants that have been vegging for 72 days and aren't even near the size. All and all i think hydro is the way to go yes there is a lot of "work" but if you think about it, it is probably the same amount of work just spread over a shorter amount of time.

well i guess with all this soil bashing it has to be said that i think the proffessional coffeshop growers use soil,

i dont know about aero but DWC is so easy a cave man could do it

i mean its like making a batch of coolaid fill the cup and add your sauce and then go watch tv

I gotta weigh in on this shiznit. Like alot of stupid newbs with a credit card...I bought the Bubbleponics system from stealth hydro for my first grow... for about $230. It was SUCH a stinking waste, it makes me sick. Completely useless. I recently switched to soil and am having incredible results! I have a white widow thats a month old, 13 inches tall and 20 inches wide. I havent seen the stalk on it since it was a seedling. Insanity. Among others.... anyhow, I agree that hydro is bullpucky (FOR ME) I much prefer soil at the moment. When I have more space and privacy to play around with my systems Ill most likely do some hydro grows.

LOL that is hilirious. Bubbleponics is the laughing stock of hydro land.
Soil is great. Esepcially for beginers. It is very forgiving. But if I (10 years+ experence) grow 1 soil, one hydro, and one aero. The quailty will be be soil lowest quality and lowest yeild, hydro middle, and Aero best. It's all about O2 to the roots. But you have to master all the other stuff with hydro.aero too. It is what it is

question: Were you also using their powder nutrients? Usually a huge mistake and also have heard of alot of problems when using these.

If you ever go back, get a good system, drain to waste or somthing besides DWC.

you think the quality is better with hydro and aero. thats a bold statement.
Bold statement? Thats just silly. We would have never moved past soil if that were true. Great weed grown by a very experienced soil grower will always be better than weed grown by an inexperienced grower any other way. But if you bring out the best in class on each type of grower. Aeroponics will always win.

Nice gallery by the way.

maybe aero would win but i dont have time to play with the benjamins with soil cant really lose but with hydro you can easily screw up a crop plus im more of a water once a day kinda guy with hydro you cant go out of town with soil you got a couple of days
